Great comparison.....UGH the many comments popping up this year about the Garberg drive me insane😤 I dont get this constant comparison of the Garberg and Terava puukko 110?? It's like people have some personal attachment to these items that outweighs common sense. I paid $60 for my Garberg in leather I've used it for over a year its a wonderful knife, if I owned the terava puukko I'm sure it would do just fine. The complaining about the price is another one that puzzles me $20 sometimes $10 difference is just silly to argue about yet they still keep beating the drum. MOVE ON PEOPLE! Mora has the Carbon Garberg now which will eventually be around $70 once the markets adjust. So now are we going to hear "Mora's Carbon sucks"?? Which anyone within the knife world knows is complete bunk. If you love a tool great have fun enjoy BUT PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF BUSHCRAFT! stop pitting two great tools against each other as though they were living entities. The 14C28N Garberg has actually changed my opinion of stainless, I've had wonderful experience with it. After using this knife hard for a year I now can say that I would easily pay $100 for it .....but ya don't, cause it's only $75 sometimes less if ya shop around. Another thing that NOBODY ever brings up is that the T Puukko is not a scandi its actually more close to a saber with a convex grind. Honestly the new Gerber Strongarm in BDZ1 steel would be a great comparison to that knife. Its only around $66 on amazon and I've used it for two months with a convex edge and its amazing.....is it a Terrava Puukko killer LOL no just a great tool😉 Anyways that's my rant of the month.

Airik1111 Ther are many great knives out ther. Many cheep an good and many expensive and not so good. I like to test them all but life to short 😉. In short evry people has ther preferens and that's good. All I test and tray is may opinion and preferens not saying that the knife I like is the one evry body will like that's the beauti of mankind.

I own several Moras, excellent quality knives, moreover I own benchmade, cold steel, rat Ontario, BHK in addition to several other medium -high priced tools. I prefer 1095 however my experience is many knives produced today offer reasonable to high quality for the price. I think either knife would be exceptional piece to use. Nice review!

How have you found the garberg leather sheath over time? Has it held up ok? Any issues? I'm thinking of upgrading the plastic sheath, then i've got whichever is most appropriate in whichever situation. I've got the retention on the plastic sheath fairly solid now after hairdryering the sheath on the edge and standing on it, but the flap seems a lot more dependable.

Mora Garberg is a hybrid Bushcraft-Survival knife.Fällkniven F1 is a Hunting-Survival.Terävä Jääkäripuukko 110 in 80CRV2 steel,is in the same category (Bushcraft-Survival knife) and is much better than both of these knives! It has better steel, better handle, better sheath and it costs less money! However, for a true Survival knife,I would choose a bigger knife, and a blade shape that can serve more purposes .In my book, the best survival knives are: Ka-Bar Becker BK 7 and Fällkniven A1.Honorable mentions: Cold steel SRK in 3V steel.Terävä Jääkäripuukko 140 in 80CRV2 steel,Ontario RAT 7,Ontario Blackbird SK5.

Problem is that nowadays, companies put everything under a "bushcraft" or "survival" umbrella for marketing reasons and people are confused so they call any knife a bushcraft knife or survival knife.Different tools are suited for different tasks and serve different purposes .My all time favorite knives are: Hunting: Bark River Fox River in 3V steel and Manly Patriot in D2 steel - Bushcraft: Terävä Jääkäripuukka110 in 80CRV2 steel,Mora Companion series and Malanika Puuko in 52100 steel - Survival: Ka-Bar Becker BK7 and Fällkniven A1 - Fighting: Kab-Bar Mark 1 straight edge and Kraton handle.

Leaderilaos Chaqal U do have good opinions ther and I'm wiht you. I do have the Jääkäripuukko 140 and really loving it, I also have the Fallkniven A1 like it as a bigger knife. Really wood like to have the Malanika puukko as my bushcraft knife.

Nice review, over all I think the Fallkniven's are over rated as they try to say they are special but they just copied American style knives. I own a Garberg, but am thinking of getting an F1 as I like the drop point, flat grind hunter style. I am thinking of the F1 as a lighter hiking knife.

Hello good, a question. When sharpening the Garberg you do it according to the scandi angle or you do it by the microbevel that comes from the factory. Thank you!!

This I did with my wet stone. A lot of time and high number stone 6000 or more fine grid. Now I use my Worke sharp and it does the job faster for me. Check out my videos of that.

What's your opinion now? Years later what did you find the most useful? I personally love my Garberg. I only paid $55 for it on sale. I like the stainless. Yet i also love my BPS adventurer its just the perfect design for my use.

Hard to pick one. Love them both. Great knives can't go wrong chosing one of them. But I think I like the F1 a bit more for the convex ant blade shap.

The F1 fits in the Garberg sheath but is very loose. The Garberg has thicker handle and longer blade and doesn't fit in the F1 sheath.

I have always liked the F1, but the blade is to short. The need to make one with a 118 mm blade, slightly thicker and longer handle, but otherwise in the same shape. That would be a winner! Garberg is probably the knife I use the most, even though its on the smaller side as well.

Dutch Bushcraft Thanks. The F1 is really overpriced her in Sweden about 150 Eur but the Garberg is more affordable at around 80Eur. For me the Garberg it's ok in price 😉

+DG Outdoor Life. Here in Holland the F1 is a bit cheaper and the Mora a bit more expensive as far as I know. Still I consider both as overpriced. A Steel Will with about the same dimensions and the protruding stick tang is 55 euro maybe. And my first Mora's are 40+ years old so it's not a dislike of Mora.
