If social contract theory requires cooperation to a social agreement, then it seems like it requires consent to that agreement in order to be binding. But one might worry: you and I never made such agreements. We were kind of thrown into society and never actually consented. How, then, are we morally responsible to a standard we didn't sign up for? A potential response: actual consent doesn't matter. The question is whether you would consent if you were free, equal, and rational.
