@@mad_mobmusic I don't know but to me it clearly does not sound like double or multi tracker "per" side. It sounds like two tracks (left + right) just quite differently played vs the "standard" approach to play them as similar as possible in order to achieve the wider chorussy effect. Almost a jazz style, where two instruments play the same phrase but in a quite individual way. So good!

Favorite morbid song by far. That constant chugging is an ineffable death machine of power, aggression, supreme control, and utter dark brutality. More recently I read back over the lyrics, and to me, they have a very Gnostic feel to them. Fucking love this, never gets old!

@@103964988 definitely bro! I was just thinking about how I was lucky enough to see them twice on their Gateways tour in 2000/2001. They started with this one both times, really set the mood. One time It was dying Fetus, Hate Eternal, and Morbid. Eric rutan had his hands full that night! The other night I believe was at The Galaxy Theatre in L.A. for some reason the venue sold bottled beer…midway into a song a brown beer bottle flys at the stage and hits Tucker. They all immediately stopped playing and tucker got (even more) serious, and in a half death metal growl (probably how he actually sounds when he’s pissed) he goes “WHOEVER THREW THAT BOTTLE, THAT HIT ME. YOU FUCKING PUSSY!! COME TO THE SIDE OF THE STAGE, ILL BEAT YOUR ASS!!!” And they all disappear from the stage. Then a few seconds later we just see these huge ass clouds of smoke coming out from behind the curtains, and they all come back out as the smell starts to hit the crowd. Tucker says something like “I’m still pissed. If anyone wants to fuck that guy up, you have my permission” and they just start playing where they had stopped. It was actually an impressive thing to see, considering what someone like axel rose would have done under those circumstances (cancel every show ever). These guys are a different breed of musician, literally rolling with the punches because guess what, that’s life. Cheers bro 🤘
