you should do a poll of all the people who lived in byu housing that had weird roommates or weird interactions with their roommates (because i have some stories and i know some people who also have such odd stories 😂)

I had a friend at BYU who went on a date with a guy in her ward on a Sunday, and then the next Sunday at ward prayer he and a different girl announced their engagement. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I moved into that ward the next semester and it was crazy with stories of quick engagements and arranged marriages especially from the Relief Society advisor who would ‘interview’ members of the ward and if they were ‘worthy’ she would set them up with one of her grandchildren (she had ten children and shit tons of grandchildren of marriageable age who went to BYU/UVU). I did not pass the interview. 😂

So many stories with ICK. I used to say that men often have no idea how other men behave when alone with a woman. Dating aside, so often just finding myself alone with a man put me in tough (and very unexpected) positions. I wish I could back in time and help young me!

At BYU, I was dating 2 times a week (sometimes 3). My dates were more for fun. Going on a date was how I did social activities. Yes I wanted to get married, but wasn't worried about it. Spilling seed see Genesis 38:8-10. Girls to guys. Freshman year after finals, before mission. I was with a group a friends to watch a movie somewhere on campus at night. The woman on my right started holding my hand (whatever, I'm going on my mission soon anyways). Then the woman on my left started holding my hand. Holding hands of two women at once. I don't know what I was thinking. Just didn't really know how to get out of it either.
