Another VFX film with that "video-gamey" look that I've never liked, nor found impressive. Those sort of movies always fail at fooling me into believing their worlds. If the team strived for a realistic look, though, then they certainly didn't succeed.

It's a lot harder than it looks to create visual effects to this scale. Remember, they're also on tight, demanding deadlines. It's challenging for any film's VFX work to get out of the uncanny valley because as an audience, if we know it's CGI, we see it as CGI. The teams did their best.
