When Jax realizes time is of the essence to save Sonya, a fellow lieutenant in the Outworld Investigation Agency, from Kano's deadly hand, he holds nothing back in this action-packed, two-on-one battle to keep a shipment of stolen Robotic Defense Program material out of Kano's hands. But can Jax and Sonya do it? Kano is a ruthless, evil leader of the "Black Dragon" international crime organization, and anyone who's tried to take him down has never lived to tell about it!

Did I mention how badass these fights are? Grappling, kicking, punching and no fancy flipping and jumping. The punches look impactful and powerful, while the entire fight still looks very aesthetic. A masterpiece really

This was the 2nd best mortal kombat film adaptation ever. Michael Jai White is perfect Jax, Jeri Ryan as Sonya is tough and no bullshit... they should have let Kevin Tancharoen handle the movie his way because whatever’s coming ain’t gonna get even remotely close to this...

Kano seems to be a bit of an omen. Two actors who played Kano (Trevor Goddard, Mortal Kombat movie 1995, and Darren Shahlavi, Mortal Kombat Legacy 2011) have passed away. Trevor died in June 2003, & Darren in January 2015.

Didn't know that was Stryker all along. Which is strange because they seem to be irrelevant in the game timeline where Sonya and Jax are special forces while Stryker is just a cop. Good to see they added him into this series.

Learned something interesting about Michael Jai White regarding Mortal Kombat today. Apparently, he was suppose to play Jax in the first 2 Mortal Kombat movies but turned them both down to do other movies. The more you know.

funny enough in a original comic or story a long time ago he is a good guy and is captured by Shang Shung and the eye is removed as torture. He's offered to join their side given all the riches and power he could ever want. He agrees and in MK 2 that's he's evil and goes after the allies. It's been retconned so much but I distinctly recall seeing that somewhere

I really love these. Great acting and great fight scenes and good editing and storytelling. Considering the limitations of the budget these are great and much better than that cheesy film adaptation.

There have been 3 different versions of how Jax lost his arms. One was by Ermak, Another by sub-zero, and this case by the explosion.

Matt Kilgore because the hardcore fans hated the realism. They wanted the more straight up tournament setting. Which is why season 2 is what it is. Season 2 basically had people lose interest. And you could see it happen with a few recasts. Which sucked.

They never did anything more with this story or brought her back?? I guess these episodes were teasers and trailers. We were really interested to see them come together. She played a perfect badass Sonya too. They made her look too rough though. 7 of 9 needed to dolled up a bit more.
