Hey pal, I have a glitch for this where we have to defeat ONLY the last boss!! Makes it a tonner easier, I've yet to do a single video for it but it is on my to do list, if you want to see it though as explained, you will find it near the end of my platinum walkthrough, the 2nd part, probably like the last 15 mins. You may want to do it legit but just letting you know mate in case, it can be a pita doing it legit, cheesy deaths all the time that pee you off

The Unchained Boss was patched m8, this used to work, and wasnt luck, I spent about 10hrs on this boss, probably longer I could do the whole fight, thats what took me soo long practicing. Just when making the guide, I wanted to do it this way as it removed the later phases which are the more difficult parts to learn Little did i know it would be patched That why i wanna do the guide again on PS5, at least i can cover everything then on current patches The soldiers I would always kill with the jumping ground slam attack, the waves you would roll through but u would have to be very observant on last wave (is it 3 still), because you need to get through last wave soon as so u can harden ready to block his dashing slap, assuming that wasnt all changed

@@Optinooby Jesus kudos to you. I still have yet to reach the unchained. The Ice Boss is the one I'm stuck on. The Fire boss wasn't so hard cause I cheesed 🧀 it. Bruh I understand I jus have to keep practicing and to learn not to be greedy. Yeah if so do one on the Ps5 it runs really smooth on here. I can't wait for the DLC too. This game has alot of potential and has kept my interest, Which I'm surprised of.

They did, my PS5 speedrun video has me doing it legit after the patches, that video is a 2 hour platinum

It was luck mate, I spent time with the boss and this strategy used to work but they patched it out ;(

@@Optinooby I improvised, figured out hot to deal with the summons. He's mostly passive when the guys spawn but keep an eye on him just in case, if he attacks I just spammed dodge and when he's not doing that I just cleared out the spawns one by one. For the cyclone when he regens health I just left him to regain his health since I got killed too many times trying to clear them. Eventually you beat him. Thanks again for the guide, made this achievement a piece of cake!

@@Optinooby Yeah I managed to get my weapon maxed but instead of going towards dim gate I got the 2 in shrine of ash then 1 in crypt; I can’t figure how to slam without dying. I managed to kill Enslaved Grisha hopefully I can get through the rest with your wonderful guide! Sorry if I’m annoying at all I have autism and I’m not as skilled as most.

Yea, it's a great tip Dwest for Marytr users, unfortunately for this route we don't use it, each weapon has great select moments where there very useful, Hallowed is just a great all rounder though! You can actually exploit the no shell so you have to defeat ONLY 1 boss, made a vid on it recently, just didn't use it here as wanted to showcase this legit, I do use it in my platinum walkthrough though ;)

Technically approx an hour, but that stupid staircase can push that time up A LOT depending on yourself and luck In the DLC, u have random enemies spawn on that staircase and on one Seed, I had those massive enemies with the hammers spawn all the way up it, couldnt even run past due to their size XD

You need to be very careful because you could maybe mess up your save if done incorrectly, I would suggest to just try and understand it a bit more as anything I tell you now is already in the video so you likely already know

It always gets u just b4 the tunnel as you go up the small incline doesnt it.. I thought u meant im general the frogs are just a pita!! Platinum Speedrun guide will be going up today or parts of it, its about a 4-5 hr part. And the great thing is that I have discovered a way to exploit this NO SHELL trophy so that we only have to defeat a SINGLE enemy (end boss) for the trophy xD (this video is the legit way) Trying to say that you coul call it all a normal run and yea it is actually a pretty good game, definitely recommend it!

@@Optinooby I’ve played some this morning and already died at least 10 times mostly arrows. I’m afraid if I can get through this I struggled a fair bit with the bosses even with Eredem Shell.

I use that for farming I think at some point, but overall, i found this easier to adapt to the most scenarios

I would have missed for a reason. Speedrunners do it because they already have experience, casual players miss it because they don't know about it, and I missed it because I felt it simpler to ignore for a beginner as I try to provide routes easier and more consistent to pull off. A beginner could struggle getting the positioning under pressure, and then if they chose to kill the enemies there to give more time, that again is pressure anyway. I just deemed it simpler to carry on sprinting up, maybe a bad choice, but what's what I decided upon!

Considering when I first tried it I got it first try, and on subsequent runs get it on about a 80% success rate I’d argue on the difficulty of the trick. If a person is afraid of failing you could just recommend saving at the sester that is just to the right before the first staircase. Yeah it’s slower after the boss teleporting to her rather than fallgrim, but it’s a fair suggestion for those not as confident in themselves and gives quick tries for the skip. That’s what I do admittedly. It’s a very forgiving trick honestly. The timing is far from needing to be exact, and the positioning is very simple. I more comment to let people know about it because I certainly didn’t until I watched a speed run and there are several tricks that can’t be easily replicated, but that one is one people should try for themselves just for the hell of it if nothing else.

Wait till you get to the Crossbow staircase of death XD There is a brief moment inbetween the rolls where you can be hit

@@Optinooby I've already got the trophy. I actually did not die in SoI once except for a suicide death for the altars you gotta press down. I had nightmares of this trophy but once I noticed just how good the rolling is, I never hardened once. The arrows never seem to hit me either, the stamina pool and I frames are just too good.

@@Optinooby Just finished video, how did you stunlock the boss at the end? It seemed my spike did not prevent his last phase. I had to deal with the phantoms.

It was patched long ago, in my PS5 speedrun video I fight him how he is now without the stunlock

It's in my Platinum Speedrun guide, it works. I'm undecided on whether to make a standalone video on it because it will put word out more and i'd say there is a good chance they would fix it! If you're really interested, let me know in the response to this and i'll give you the timestamp of my platinum speedrun where I incorporate it. Its not as simple as just kill 1 boss, I exploit the system and we also just have to upgrade out weapon quickly b4 I face the boss.......makes it so much easier though

Optinoob Geats mate just watched both platinum videos 👍 that’s very clever if you came up with that yourself it’s not even mentioned on google searches or Powerpyx walkthrough he normal adds any exploits to platinums. That’s insane you can load you’re main game state to the obsidian shell game

@@JinxTheCat_plays I discovered it m8, thats why I say keep it quiet, if nobody else does, then it may never get patched and always be there to help in the guide!! You can use it to dupe and allsorts. I always play with stuff myself and occasionally do figure out stuff others dont know. I know you still have to upgrade your weapon (technically you dont have to, but boss would be even harder), but does make it a lot easier. You could even dupe the ornate masks before you go for the boss, once you max them, each use will let you take a hit in no shell!! Hope you found the guide useful ;)
