Star Wars Energy Shields couldn't handle more than a couple shots from this, and the Imperium is packing worse than Nova Cannons. Also, the raw civilian casualties just from the Orks alone would dwarf the Vong (War of the Beast), and that is to say nothing of the Tyranids, or the combined losses from every apocalyptic enemy they face. These losses are comparable to 40K, but in no way does anything in the Vong war even begin to dwarf the constant bleak atrocities of the 40K verse. Had he or just "his" empire be in power during the Yuuzhan Vong War his arsenal of supersized weapons and forewarned grand admirals (such as Thrawn) would have eradicated these invaders with ruthless efficiency. It would not have saved everyone from the Yuuzhan Vong (especially the civilian Yuuzhan Vong and their captured slaves) but the 365 trillion lives killed by them would have been reduced to a small fraction of that number. Palpatine was the political leader the people of the galaxy never knew they needed to prepare for and win the Yuuzhan Vong invasion they never knew were coming.

Devon would have been seen as Mongols or maybe more so as ISIS and the Imperial remnant and the new Republic would have been good guys. You can still have the 1st Order in the story but not in the same way how they are the main bad guys though. The first order could have been a major Imperial Remnant faction but all the factions in the Imperial Remnant could have been good guys. Like an extended Universe you would have had Stormtroopers helping Jedis and stuff which is weird. I completely agree man it would have went against the complete narrative and made the Empire look good. That's why I like Dune Denis the good guys as bad guys later on and it made a Harkonnens look good.

The war lasted for several years, I don't recall exactly how many. But it was quite the long affair, and the real heavy losses started happening when the Vong got their claws on mid-rim and core worlds. There's only so many places you can flee to, and so many people you get off a planet before it's fucked.

Also there's no reason to believe a standard year in star wars would be 365 days long, or even that a stand day would be 24 hours long. Ours is only like that because we originate from earth which takes those prescribed times to complete cycles of the solar system. Star wars has many solar systems that would all behave differently, however i assume it would be based off of Coruscant cycles.

That depends, in whose space do the Vong emerge? The Star Wars galaxy beat them largely due to a centralized Government that could direct the war effort (once they got their act together). 40k is anything but unified. Not that it would be easy, to me it is at best Pyrrhic for either side. There is no way any of the major races would ally each other, so the Vong would fight them one at a time. I doubt Vong armor would handle bolters, and they have no counter to to psykers. Plus, the Vong might view the worship of Chaos as blasphemous and start to fight among themselves over it. I would wager the Vong would be able to best one major faction and critically weaken one or two others. Assuming they don't try to fight all of them at once.

The Vong would prosper. They'd align themselves with Khorne and slaughter their way through the galaxy, but the Necrons might give them a slight case of PTSD because they fucking hate robot races.

Basically Dark Eldar with Tyranid slaves.

They could probably do pretty well if they emerged now and carved out their own little empire, so long as they were no where near the Imperium, until they inevitably fall to the worship of Chaos and collapse, just becoming more Xenos in the hordes of Cultists

Most fan fiction is poorly written and lacks a sense of true story. I hope Lucasfilm continues on the same path they are currently taking, listening to fan criticism within reason but understanding that a good story is a good story and a good character is a good character. Sure, the sequel trilogy isn't the best of the star wars movies, but I'm willing to bet it would be a lot worse if they based the stories and characters off of fan fiction.

@@jamesleduke873 yea i remember that one, was wondering if i forgot some other stuff. if i was planing a galactic invasion id be sending a few world ships worth at least. make sure they arent discovered and all hunted down real quick. of course spread em out into different size fleets, send some scouts to hibernate or whatever in some asteroid belts or something in case the bigger fleets are found and destroyed. contingency's to contingency's would exist in such a big universe. might make a good way to put em in the universe without spending tons of cash, have em run into a small fleet of scouts.

There are 32,000+ hiveworlds, and over a million worlds like forge, paradise, and agriculture worlds with millions to a few billion people. Thats the current imperium of man. I dont know many people there were in 30k, but thats still 100s- a few 1000 worlds being affected. So unless you can bring evidence to debunk the single digit trillions casualties, the yuuzhan vong war had greater casualties.
