I love being a female solo traveler. But for some reason, it's common for other people to try and scare me while I'm traveling. Really great advice! I went to India about 4 years ago thinking that I was more than ready after having quite a lot of travel experience in my life, including many parts of Asia… well… I was not 😂 I was a naive green newb and people saw it written on my face even though k thought I knew better lol. Got scammed a few times right away, had my cell phone pick pocked at one point. But I thought on my feet and went with the flow and by the end of the trip was having an amazing time! Of course I’m a solo male traveller, safety is even more of a priority if you are solo female, even I felt unsafe in a number of situations. I look forward to going back to India, it is definitely a challenging country to travel in though!!

Haha yes. I understand. Many people have gone to India a bit over confident. Going in paranoid isn't great either, but prepared and knowledgable is ideal. But yes, once you get the feel for it, it's such an amazing country to travel around.
