This exercise that I will present is the best exercise you can do for your abdominal region. The transverse abdominis muscle is what holds and supports the lower back and pelvic structures. These muscles must be strong to help support the surrounding organs and other core muscles.
These muscles support breathing by helping to pull the abdomen inward, and in that way force air out of the lungs to make room for a new breath of fresh air. These muscles also raise the intra-abdominal pressure which is necessary for functions like urination, defection (having a bowel movement), vomiting, and vaginal childbirth.

I’m 70yrs old and have been doing core holding like this, plus trying to have good posture since my twenties. The last two years I’ve had two spinal surgeries because of injuries when I was younger. My surgeon damaged the right side of my lower spine while working on the left so not only is this helpful for a stronger core but is helping me to strengthen my lower back! Very convinient exercise. You can combine it with any daily activities, riding a bike, walking, standing, reading, sitting and so forth. You do not have to set aside an extra time slot for this. Ideal for busy people. Dr Mandell is sensational. I'm 65 years old but am convinced that it's not too late. From Paris

My chiropractor showed me how to do exercises for my low back, but I appreciate this so much. Some people can't get on their knees to exercise, but this core exercise is easy and doable for everyone. I've watched you for years and you have never steered me wrong. I have a bad knee and a subluxation in my low back. I'm actually thin and I've always had a fit body but, in the past couple of years I've been having this bulging tummy that is really bothering because of lack of excersize. @@marieglenn8175 I actually felt and in fact could see real tightness around my waist. It took just afew days to notice a defined line is back above my stomach area. It's been a month or so and there's another. The stomach bulge is not gone but, it seems to have gotten smaller a bit and I could feel it but, again the biggest change so far from this exercise has to be around the waistline.

Stomach vacuum works! Just do it consistently with exercise and a low sugar/carb low processed food diet and I promise you that belly will go down.

I rarely eat highly or medium processed food. My diet is very healthy. Interestingly enough, I'm overweight because I don't eat enough, so I'm finding I have to eat more. Now I'm losing weight.

It's fantastic. I have done these before when I was on the LA weight loss program decades ago. I definitely prefer your variations. The oxygenation makes me dizzy, but it works. I'm soo motivated again, thanks for sharing.

Ive just started rucking! Grab any old backpack and put a 2, 5, 10 kg weight in and off you go walking your normal walk. For your own health google the weight to carry. I did 10kg 1 week ago today and cut back to 5 for the rest of the week and i feel amazing, my back feels amazing my legs feel amazing i think with Dr Mandells video this will be a great assett.
