Before anyone judges Petrucci for his comment towards Scholtz just remember the guy completely exhausted, in pain, and probably wanted more than anything to win that first race back after injury. Him riding like that with all things considered is nothing short of amazing. The guy is a powerhouse, and no doubt disserves to be cut some slack after all this.

They are not on factory bikes and team's. That allows anyone to compete for the lead if they have a good team. That doesn't happen in motogp or full works championships in Europe where the best teams and bikes dominate everyone else on satellite teams.

I would rate BSB higher than Moto America simply because of the tracks over there. Caldwell Park for example with the jump is quite insane.

To (Dear)🥰 Hanna, and for those interested in finish line differentials of time and footage: I've reference some of this in the past...let's go on a little journey... first off lets convert mph to fps (feet per second)...1 mile = 5280 ft. and 1hour = 60 minutes or 3600 sec. So we divide 5280 ft./3600 sec. and that = 1.4667..this is our conversion factor. Example: 100 mph multiplied by 1.4667 = 146.67 fps. or you can double that for 200 mph = 293.34 fps. For perspective, at 200 mph we are covering ~ football field every second! If we want to know more precisely how fast we need to travel to cover a football field (American)per second we can work the problem backwards thru division 300 fps divided by 1.4667 =204.54 mph. So for finish line results we have to make a big assumption if don't know the actually speed at that moment. But we can make educated guesses thru our racing knowledge. At 60 mph increments, (a medium speed corner) 60 mph = 88.002 fps we divide by 10, so one tenth of a second = 8.80 ft. divide by 10 again and we have 100th of a second = 0.88 ft. (~10.5 inches) if we double those numbers: At 120 mph, (a rather fast corner) we have 176.004 fps. 1/10 sec. = 17.6 fps. 1/100 sec. = 1.76 fps. At 180 mph we triple those 60 mph #, = 264 fps. 1/10 sec. = 26.4 fps. 1/100 sec. = 2.64 fps. When we are watching racing you can judge the distance, and or approximate the time differential between the riders. So on a medium speed corner at 60 mph, 1/10 of a second = 8.8 ft. coincidentally a race bike is just under 7 ft. long (close enough for guesstimating). So one bike length is ~ 1/10. If the bikes are nose to tail you have 1/10 sec. if there's a one bike gap between the two bike then they are ~ 2/10 sec. (comparing front wheel to front wheel). If there's a two bike gap we have 3/10 ths. As we go faster and slower at different places on the track that 1/10 vs. distance grows and shrinks. For this race we can make some reasonable assumptions. The run to turn 5 is said to be the fast part of this track layout and supposedly it's closing in on 200 mph. I would assume that the front straight is next at about 170 to 180 mph. If memory serves last year the bike were topping out at just over 180 when then draft was used. Although it's longer than the T4 to T5 section. T 14 on to the front straight is one of the slowest corners on the track and the run up the front straight to the finish line, is literally running up a hill, so the acceleration of the bikes is greatly hampered. My guess is that they cross the finish line at about 140 mph. If we go to our math conversions, we know that 140 mph x 1.14667 = 205.338 fps. Looking at the "photo finish" at 36:43, we have a distance of about 5 ft. between Scholtz and Petrucci. So...205.338 fps at 1/100 sec. =2.05 ft. and 5 ft. / 2.05 ft. = ~2.5 or 1/100 sec x 2.5 = 0.025 or 25 thousandths of a sec. Or simply 5 ft. / 205.338 fps = 0.0244 sec. or in general laymen's terms just over 2 hundredths of a sec. I hope you enjoyed this little math journey.🙂

Dirty block pass on Petrucci at turn 5 at the last lap. Also half of the paddocks are ganging up on Petrucci just because he's an 'outsider', it's so obvious.

Naw a dirty pass would have been taking Matthew out and he could have. It would have been easy to lay off the brakes a little more and take Matthew to the outside..........he didn't. Good clean hard racing no dirty racing here. The harder pass but not dirty was Matthew passing Petrucci.
