In this episode, the Motorcycle Road Trip get's properly under way as the port of Ardrossan beckons and with it, the first of the 6 ferry journeys I'll be embarking upon on this road trip - this one being to Brodick on the Isle of Arran, an island that's not entirely as I imagined.

Brings back memories of family holidays sixty years ago.....the palm trees are NZ native, and are actually members of the Lilly family, incredibly tough, live everywhere from swamps to snow (in winter) covered hill sides, the leaves can kill a lawnmower in seconds....

Last episode I had to comment on your superb audio equipment. This episode, it's you're editing skills. They shine. From best I can tell you have at least three cameras. You're having to blend a trip's worth of video from three cameras along with your main audio. The results are seamless when you switch from one view to another. Bravo.

Oh wow!! What a thoroughly enjoyable episode and indeed these first two adventures have been captivating to watch and now Fridays just cannot come soon enough for the next one. I am no expert, but appreciate that editing is not a 5 minute job whilst chomping on a meat pie. It just flows seamlessly from front to reverse camera making me feel like I am on the bike with you. Kevin, My wife and I are planning a trip to Scotland soon, your motorcycle tour gives me inspiration. We travel much like you but on 4 wheels, and stay in hotels or Inn's. Motercycle toured much of the West coast USA through Canada and Alaska, where we live. I know what you're doing is a lot of work but the rewards are Immense; cheers!!

Because I can see that you are a lot happier these days...I can't quite put my finger on it but you seem to have left what seemed to be worrying you far behind you now ... I am still in touch with many people who live on the canals and to be perfectly honest the ones that have met you on their travels have always said that you are a very nice and decent person .. These people don't lie . this to me speaks volumes about you.. many like myself were born and bought up on narrow boats.... You are never really alone on the canals even if you think that you are.. the narrow boat community always look out for one another .. this is how it has been from the very first time a narrow boat appeared on the canals and I hope that this tradition never stops.. So Kevin staying safe and well mate .. keep making your brilliant videos ..they are a diary of your life on the canals.. Which you are willing to share with others...

Morning Kevin. Saved this video until I could get comfy, cuppa and quiet. WOW!!!!!! simply stunning scenery, fun sing-a-long and commentary and the best half an hour telly all week. We visited the Peak District last year and I was in tears at times at the sheer beauty, this video has had the same effect. I would have done the main land of Scotland . But it looks good to do or see you do the Scottish Islands.
