Much love to you, Roger. As someone who has delt with clinical depression all my life, your points were right on. There is so much talk of people saying "if you need help, reach out to someone" but that is often so difficult for us. We feel like a burden and don't want to pass that to our loved ones. So for you to say that loved ones should be the ones to reach out was very powerful. Do not feel that you failed your wife. I'm sure she loved you desperately and through her pain, you gave her the moments of joy.

I am so happy you are with us, says the guy who barley knows you lol, but I would be heartbroken if something happens to you. If I feel that way then imagine how your loved ones would feel. You have purpose, meaning, and worth, even if you feel like you aren’t, you are. Stay strong, brave and keep hope. I’ll always be in the comments to talk. God be with you and stay strong. Dan had to argue against SUPERMAN winning an event. His “Lex Luthor paying to send in Kryptonite” take was absolutely phenomenal and he came up with it in like ten seconds flat. That’s just nuts, man.

Yeah it's really not that impressive. The Hunger Games argument is all about who can win the favour and what items they get - "superman's only weakness is magic" is instantly rebutted by "also kryptonite, and that can be given as a gift". He's still a great fighter, not taking away the way he argued it at all but most fighters would have said the same thing.

Thought the same cause the kryptonite is the obvious solution to Superman’s invulnerablity but how Wolverine would know that was I thought a tough nut to crack but Dan just split it wide open in seconds. Of course Luther would arm his opponents with it.

It was certainly more plausible than having random people drive an *actual* bus on real tarmac. You can flip those if you drive too fast, and it takes a huge amount of resources for one person at a time to be driving for a few minutes. Plus having the real Keanu there is just total nonsense.

Great message by Roger. Depression is a disease that is often impossible to fathom for those who have not experienced it. It can often be invisible to friends and even loved ones, which is why it's so important that we make talking about it acceptable and encouraged. And though not everyone wins their fight, it is something that can be helped by doctors and therapists, and no one should ever feel shame about seeking out that help, or be denied access to that help because of their financial or job situation.

Two things. 1) It's great to see Roger back. I wondered what happened to him sometime last year and saw his blog post. It was one of the most heart breaking things I've ever read and I'd understand if he never wanted to write or perform again but so happy to see him back. Healing after something like that has to be one of the most difficult things someone can go through. He'll probably never see this but fuck it - Roger if you do know that even just us weird internet strangers love you and take your time just don't feel like you're alone. 2) On a less serious note I'd love to see Tony, Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhal do a fight. They seem like they'd all be fun to watch. Edit: I just kept looking at the couch and wondering if that was Roger until he actually came up.

I can't imagine what you're going thru and it's not my place to tell you how to feel but as someone who's lived with depression since I was a child I can just tell you that it fucks up your head and sometimes there is nothing anyone else can do so I would ask you to not blame yourself, but that's just my experience and opinion. Ive been watching Movie Fights since the godzilla debate and its given me a lot of laughs over the years. when i moved far from home and was missing my friends, you guys kept me company, and i would argue right back at my computer screen like a crazy person every fight. i am sad to see it go, but i really appreciate the entertainment and wish you all the success in the world. you guys are a good hearted and talented bunch and truly deserve it. thanks again!

Don’t feel to sad to see it leave, friend. It’ll be back next month. They’re just going once per month now.

Thank you so much for sharing that with us, Roger. One of my family members struggles with depression, and I paused the video after you finished talking to have a quick chat before he starts work.

What an amazing episode. I've watched every single episode of movie fights since day one. It's sad to see it go to only once a month. It's crazy to think how much I love this show. Dan inspires me to be myself and I hope that one day I can bring as much joy to people as he does. The sj family gets me through the days and it was really heartfelt hearing Rogers's story. As someone who is in a dark place at the moment it's always great to know I can sit down, watch you guys, and feel like part of the fam even though I'm just a stranger. ❤️
