10 күн бұрынPower Book 2 Ghost Season 4 Episode 5 which was the mid-season finale of Book 2 Ghost, didn't exactly feel like a usual mid-season finale, however, it did set up a lot of storyline's heading into Part 2 of Book 2 Ghost and the final chapter of the series for Power Ghost. Everything is finely poised as Diana has made the choice to keep her baby, which Tariq St Patrick also accepted, however, as he came face to face with himself in a hallucination, he believes for him to protect himself, his family and his unborn baby, he has to reach the top of the game in Power Book 2 Ghost. However, is this the same mistake Ghost made? I think so. We were also given the details as to who Carter really is and what his intentions are with these guys on the streets in Ghost, he wants to control them. Meanwhile the Tejada's repair their relationship, but is it too late? I run through an in depth breakdown of Power Ghost Season 4 Episode 5 in this breakdown, running through all the clues, easter eggs.

I would say it felt like an episode 3 or a Set up episode. In a regular season an episode 5 doesn’t necessarily have any significance but for a 10 episode final season that wasn’t supposed to be the final season episodes can’t be wasted like this.

I feel like that the only people that are really questioning Drew's decision-making. Is the people that never want to hold women accountable for the bad things they do sometimes. But want to crucify the man when he does the slightest thing wrong. Drew is the only one that forced Monet to look at herself and be accountable. Without giving her a pass or some unconditional level of loyalty even when she's dead wrong. Even after she's murdered their father. So I respect Drew for standing on 10 toes. It's like the mother is benevolent and exempt from all criticism. But the father is expendable and can never do enough.

I will say this, episode 5 wasn’t the finale I was expecting; HOWEVER, after rewatching every episode this season thus far, it’s clear that Part 1’s objective was specifically to put the pieces in play and show each character’s purpose for the season. I realized that part 1 wasn’t going to be the bloodbath. Every episode was specifically for storytelling, with maybe the exception of e1. Part 2 will be the Royal rumble we’re all waiting for. Folks will be getting dropped off & business will be picking up, starting from episode 6. Best believe, we haven’t even seen Tariq’s full craziness and detective don Carter’s full agenda yet.

The character descriptions made it clear that Diana won’t be leaving the game, but instead evolving into some form of Monet. We need to look at her choices in the next part of the Season. I think she survives.

Hearing that sad version of Big Rich Town was just a reminder of the tragedy of Ghosts end. He wasn’t supposed to lose, he was supposed to win. Instead they tried to turn him into a villain but it failed because he was right. Him losing is similar to John Snow not killing the night king and sitting the iron throne. Bad writing, and constantly trying to subvert expectations. Now we have Teen Pop power, and it’s really showing. These characters don’t feel ruthless or scary, or even relatable. The OG power was just different.

Omaris acting during the Raina dream sequence and the Angela one was so deep. Shit felt real. I mean I think it was a big mistake to kill Kanan and Angela. They should have left Kanans fate unknown and had occasional references to him. Such a waste of a character. It’s definitely true they are aiming this show at a younger audience and it’s a big mistake

And the sad thing is she knew that boy was going to be in the game almost like blood in blood out type shit. Tariq came from a family that was high on the list of being drug dealers top dogs. Then got stuck working for her mom (Monet), then Mecca, and after that Noma. If Diana didn't want to be in a game. She should have left when her dad let her go to college. She should have went to Atlanta to go to school cuz I think that was mentioned multiple times. But nah she want to be at Stanfield with Tariq and she was happy when Lorenzo cosigned it that mess because Monet didn't want her around him. And Effie was the one that was trying to teach Diana the game as well and told her to stay away from Tariq. Yep Diana been chasing that boy like a dog in heat and finally she done got that baby and want to play coy. I hate to say it but the biggest story out of that situation would have been her getting killed we found out she was pregnant after the fact and then trying to figure out who the baby daddy was😂😂😂.

I can see a Cane spin-off in a new city cuz he’s on the run and sets up shop in a place like ATL. But I could also see him being a part of Tariq’s organization once he gets over the Tariq jealousy and realize he wasn’t the problem and that his mother and himself were the problem.

One thing we have to remember as fans is that we are not going to get what we expect the show to actually look like. We aren’t the writers we are just viewers. Overall this episode was more detailed in a way that Tariq is finally accepting who is really is. Some people relate to his character based on trying to not admit who you really are & that made this episode so interesting to me. There’s going to be a lot of unexpected events in part 2 that will put a different perspective on the characters we like & also dislike.

The Detective Carter part was the most shocking. Like you said we knew he had a dark side. Its just crazy to see Monet be little bro'ed/sised like that Holy that's crazy. Drew was one and done but that's just how this works when you least expect it lool. Tariq unfortunately looking like he gonna make the same mistake his Dad made. Instead of trying to be a better version of his father, he needs to find his own identity. Integrating his Dad's side it a big plus and move forward but he gotta progress further in that personal journey before its too late for him and his family.
