The writers and directors did Sally wrong. she didn’t need to be in this movie to begin with considering we still don’t know much about her character backstory after the 1974 film like we knew Laurie Strode or Sidney Prescott from their movies. They forced Sally’s character in the movie, copied the Halloween 2018 formula, but tried to be different and just kill her off within 5 minutes with the most disrespect way as Original final girl after 50 years later for shock value. Everything about this film besides the Kills was unoriginal.

I think it was alright 5.5 out of 10. I might've given it a 6 if that bizarre unrealistic scene where Sally gets chainsawed for 15 seconds and whipped around like a ragdoll yet survives it long enough to get another shot off, give a small speech, and reload the shotgun all before finally dying 😂

Sally’s hysterical laughter at him was to remind him of who she was. In the original, when she escaped, he was chasing her and she laughed the same way, while he was swinging the chainsaw in anger. You just didn’t get it. 😩it was perfect.

Yeah u caught it too. It made the following scene tough to watch but I feel like that was the whole point. I think all these movies bringing back the original "final girls" and other survivors and making these tough calls is because we all wonder where and how these people ended up after these traumatic events. (Fictional though they may be)

@@easagepie absolutely, and I loved it. This one has the perfect amount of gore to keep you interested, and the return of sally was just a plus. Played perfectly by this actress might I add. But I still think the terror in the 2004 remake was better. Jessica Biel was really good, and the sherif performance alone was enough to make you feel sick.

@@Derplander90 oh most definitely! I was 12 at the time the 2004 remake came out and it was the first horror movie i couldn't even snack in front of. The feeling of misery it gave was get on par to the original.

He didn’t stay in the same town. He fled the scene of the crime and made his way to Harlow where he was taken in by the woman who owned the orphanage.

I genuinely thought that besides Sally, this movie was absolutely great! Until the end. The final jump was not worth killing a character I routed for more than the actual final girl. She had character development and I just found myself disappointed rather than shocked. Other than those two things I loved it

i liked it up until the part where sally came to harlow. they killed her for shock value and how did leatherface survive being shot by a shotgun and a chainsaw to the face? i’ve only watched the original and the 2003 remake and he isn’t supernatural.

Honestly, I was disappointed the only good thing was the gore because the whole sally builds up just for it to play out how it did just overhyped the character then instead of the suspense like the older ones have they just have him mowing people down on a bus could've been so much better.

The original Texas Chainsaw wasn't a bombastic slasher, like Friday or Halloween, it was a grounded disgusting look at what it would be like to be trapped under the roof of a real life group of sick killers like Dahmer or Ed Gein, which it was based off of. No sequel has really gotten that.

Unfortunately gore does not equal horror. The original film had almost no gore at all but was utterly hellish. What made it so nightmarish was that this was a whole family of killers. Leatherface was almost more of a victim than a killing machine. In these newer movies, they try to turn Leatherface into Jason, so he ends up being another generic slasher.

Definitely not the best in the franchise, but definitely not the worst. I agree that Sally's character arc was wasted, but I appreciate that they did something different here than the typical "final girl returns in requel" storyline, it felt very on brand for this franchise to kill her off if she had to return. I'm glad that this movie did something different, even if it didn't go down the way I wanted it to. I liked the gentrified ghost town setting, the pacing and the gore.

I didn’t like how bad that ending was, but technology certainly came a long way. The slasher-ishness starts to make me feel like Hitler should be watching this, but at least they had the scene on the bus… I think they should have let the ONE girl go, instead of killing everybody, but I like how all the movies are connected so far. Interesting inclusion of Sally Hardisty in this one, even though Marilyn Burns passed away in real life, I wouldn’t have done that to her. Idk this movie was messed up, but definitely worth a watch.

Seriously, this movie did NOT need to be made. This doesn't even feel like a TCM movie. Bringing back Sally was a total waste of time if they were just going to kill her within five minutes of her confronting Leatherface. They are totally Laurie Strode-ing at this point. I could go on and on about why this movie sucks. They need to stop.

The movie as a whole was pretty reckless and stale. It seemed like it was too scared to try anything new. The ending was actually kind of a shock though, I was quite surprised. Also LeatherFace is actually quite smart in this. Also the reason LeatherFace didn't die from the shot-gun blast is because she gave the genZ salt rounds. If you look carefully, Sally gives her see-through (salt) rounds. Personally I think the film is quite clever, especially how LeatherFace acts in certain situations.

The gore was good in this one. But I didn’t really get into it because none of the characters were compelling in any way. They were all pretty obnoxious actually and I found myself rooting for leather face. When all of your main characters are extremely unlikeable it’s hard to hold anyone’s interest for very long.

Well it has Viggo Mortensen in it and its gory TCM NG ..has Matthew McConaughey in it Remake and prequel were awesome 3D was stupid as hell Leatherface was fine until you realise Buddy isnt Leatherface TCM 2022 was stupid like 2013 one but..it has the bus scene at least

The 2003 remake is garbage. Of the modern ones, I think this stands up really well. This is far from my favorite series and I'm not even a big fan of the original, the protagonists are really shallow, we don't know them, and Sally and her constant over the top screaming for 3/4 of the movie is really annoying. Beginning and 3D are my 2 other favorites from the newer films. This was short, fast paced, excellent gore and kills. Dude have you seen some of the other crap modern horror being made? This is way better than 5/10. Being the first sequel to reinvolve Sally was cool and different, and compared to isolated fewer murders in prior films, the bus scene actually delivers on having "massacre" in the title. I enjoyed this more than the last 2 Halloweens, Halloween Kills was such a letdown. You said you wanted to see them do different story stuff but didn't like Leatherface as the pseudo protagonist in 3D, so not sure where you think they can go with this series. Also I never read this is meant as a direct sequel to the original, implying all other events never happened, it doesn't reference other killings but you can kind of just place him as being in the care of the old lady after any of those past events, that he's just been hiding out there for X number of years.

the fact you think this is good no taste like at all lol 2003 was fire and you tryna hype this up over that no way you a fan and think this is anywhere near good they ruined the movies when they decided to make this teen scream bs.

I expected nothing more than a fun, none sense, gorefest of a movie and that’s what I got with some good acting from the main leads, hauntingly beautiful cinematography, and this version of Leatherface is probably the scariest. I want more old man Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre Kills! I give it a 3.5/5

i wouldnt mind in saying this movie was a fun watch with the kills and scares but it was still pretty trash i enjoyed the character leatherface more than the actors just little hints of him wearing girls facese and other stuff like that they hinted at made it that more fun

Richter and Lila should have been the two main characters. The rest are too annoying.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is such a decent movie to watch, sure Sally was wasted in here but she did fight back against Leatherface in this one.

That was a cheap shot. She could of just chainsaw his head and limbs..end of Leatherface but that would mean no more sequels.

Literally the worst movie of 2022 so far. Everything about this disgusting insult to the franchise sucked. What a worthless, awful sack of garbage this film is. Why would anyone watch this trash on purpose?
