I like how this is more of out of context than an ending lol

I remember the first movie as being all the rage when it came back in 1996, it was like among the first real disaster movies of the whole genre and most of us kids loved it. This one however, came out in an era where disaster movies were ancient news and it even toned down the immesurable odds by having the contemporary setting be replaced by pseudo-scifi humans with laser-shooting starfighters which imo watered down the whole thing; what made the concept so tangible and eerie back in the day was the fact that it happened to US, it kind of lost something important when it went over to happen to scifi humans "in a near future". Still, it was fairly servicable on the whole, but what really killed it for me was when they went all Back To The Future part 1 ending and like, "Marty, you gotta come back with me... TO SPACE!!" Yeah, let's all just go into space... and the smiling pun finishes it up... "WHEN DO WE LEAVE??". Happy days! Such a ridiculous joke-ending.

If this was released in 2006, it would've been a smash hit.

I quite like this movie, i respect what you think about the terrible sequel, I never grew up with the first film but i did grew up with this film and i thought it was awesome to watch humans fighting aliens, something about it stimulated my nine year old mashed potato brain and gave me dopamine and a good feeling called enjoyment when ever i rewatch this film, atleast i got something out of this movie

So the queen have her own shield ok, but how can she survive all the force of the same explosion that turned her big ass ship in debris? In the first one the atom bomb was powerful but the ship was damn crazy big so i thought was ok that all the cinetic energy was away with no consequences.( i hated the same thing in pacific rim, the bomb explode in the face of the monster but that survive the blast unscattered after the bomb take away kilometer cubic of water).

there was a drawback, the monster alien did not know what it looked like because he was in working clothes for movement with such a weight of personal goods in the warehouse and was forced to use ships to create weightlessness or mobility of the entire volume of goods.

I feel like Maika Monroe and Jessie Usher have much more chemistry than she does with Liam Hemsworth. So It would have been nice if they were an item and kissing at the end, especially since there aren't too many blockbuster that do that with an interracial pairing like this one would have been. Then again the movie was pretty forgettable so maybe it was for the best lol. 🤷‍♂️

This channel's version of the "Final Fight has the worst re-editing I have ever seen. It took all of the effectiveness of the movie's scenes away and made them just a jumble of shots and words.
