Same with Daemon. I know it's not the best solution but they should have made them have shorter hair and clean cut faces in the beginning and give them long hair/facial hair in the later episodes. Maybe some gray highlights for Cole.

Aemond was such a badass in that scene. Even despite losing an eye. Realty was he had multiple times when he could have killed each of the brothers - hitting them with a rock but didn't because he exercised restraint.

I really hope they don't keep this eye patch jackassery. Was hoping they would fit the actor with a prosthetic like Daniel Day-Lewis in Gangs of New York or Tom Cruise in Valkyrie. Of course, Aemond's would look like a very large, faceted purplish/blue gemstone in his empty eye socket.

In the time jump, Aegon and Rhaenyra's children are adolescents as they should be. Aemond looks badass, but also older than Ser Crispin.

the fact is that the actor who plays Aemond was born in 2002. So he is just 20 (by the time they filmed the show, he was like 18 or 19). The boy who will play from now on Jacaerys was born in 2004...so their real ages fit really well with the time skip!

Everyone saying Aemond "stole" Vhagar, but he claimed her rightfully. A Dragon chooses its rider, its not a car that gets passed down through the family. Vhagar could tell Aemond was worthy of her so she chose him

I guess he is thought to have stolen Vhagar in reference to how he claimed her in both the book and the tv show. He followed his instincts and went on to claim Vhagar without asking permission from his father or Laena's family to do so in the first place. Vhagar clearly tested him to see if he was worthy to be her next rider which Aemond did. I give him props for that.

For all those who complain about the appearances of the actors - the major is about the fact that Aemond seems to look older than his brother, cousins and even of his mother lol: the actor, Ewan Mitchell, was born in 2002, so he is perfectly in line with his character's age; that's the same for all the other actors who play the "grown" boys and girls! I think that we are all a bit mislead by the little material we have had till now (I mean, this trailer shows him a couple of times and he never talks), so when it'll be time we will see the coerence of the actor's choices by part of the production

I think it's been really cool how they have changed up bit from the books where it's kind of been vague how people died. Like, I loved that Laenor faked his death, whereas the books just say his lover killed him. So I think it would be really interesting if we find out that when Viserys dies (which isn't really a spoiler, as we all know that's going to happen), he doesn't die naturally, but the queen kills him.

The books are history books. It is nice the author did it that way so the tv shows can take some creative liberties on how those events should be canonically interpreted.

@@ryankwon8785 lol He did that because they where offering him a massive amount of money to publish the rights to DotD years ago, so he slapped it together as quickly as he could, as vaguely as he could with plenty of "This narrator is a unreliable drunk" or "this narrator hated that character" so he could go back and course correct his MANY MANY inconsistancies later on. After the check cleared, ofcourse.

Thats not true in any way in either. The "book" makes it clear nobody has any clue. The guy who hates Alicent said she killed him. The guy who liked alicent said he died peacefully in his sleep.

There are about 5 different "narrators" in the book, meaning 5 people who didnt know the family giving their accounts of rumors and suspicions. The guy who was neutral said Viserys died peacefully in his sleep, meanwhile the court fool who was famous for lying and causing ruckus said Alicent killed him. Hes also the one who said alicent lost her virginity to both Daemon AND Viserys (while Aemma was sitll alive). The books are some of the most slapped together published history. He had a massive offer on the table from the company wanting to aquire dotd so he slapped both everything and nothing down all at once.

Well, this one will "kill you" even further : Between episode 7 & 8, Aemond and the rest of the Targaryen children, including Rhaenyra's bastards, will go into the "Hyperbolic Time Chamber". There, only Aemond will take his training seriously and he will reach SSJ2 by episode 8.

I love the show. My only wish is more dragons...not always flying but the interactions with the riders. They are gonna die like dominoes and I want to know them better first. Two eps that SUNFYRE exists and no decent look at the beauty we heard so much about. Same with Danys dragons. Drogon was the one one featured. We got hardly nothing of the brothers before they died. In 8 seasons I expected closer pet like relationships I guess. Not mushy or like a dog necessarily but even in the days of horses alot of people had a bond with the animal beyond just saddling it up and giving commands. Perhaps it's mental connection but they could tell us that If I had a dragon I'd be riding all the time or at least hanging out on the cliffs or visiting it in the dragon pit with out riding it. Also nobody reacts to the dragons. Whether used to them or not if I'm at a funeral with 8 dragons lounging about, all diff colors and sizes , you bet I'd be curious

Yeah. This show is so well done that I wish they'd slow down a bit and give us more connecting scenes and stuff. I don't mind time jumps but I'm always left wondering about major things and character reactions that would've happened in between . And more dragons...not just flying by only. I wanna really see them like they started off with syrax and caraxes ..now other than the tiny dragon and vhaegar we don't get any good looks at the others

Also ..it's too dark. I have my 4k 55 inch set in brighter in every picture setting and it's still so dark in many scenes If anyone has advice on how to set the contrast..backlight .etc to make it crisper and easier to see details please reply and tell me how

Ok this is ridiculous, this is getting like the Last Kingdom now, all the kids age 20 years but the adults look exactly the same, older characters play a range of 30+ years. Otto Hightower and Viserys looked to be in their 50s in episode 1 and Otto looks exactly the same and Viserys looks like zombie 20 years later, and Criston Cole looks EXACTLY the same?! The time jumps alone are problem enough for me but if you're going to do them age characters actors realistically! People do not look exactly the same 20+ years apart. What was Daemon supposed to be in his 20's in episode 1?!
