My Cat hid for the first week when I moved. She finally came around. It just freaks them out at first. Cat's are very territorial. You'll wake up to her cuddling you. Nice place, so happy for you. Best of wishes and vibes to you.

My grandfather was the same way. If he had to be somewhere at 8:30 he usually got there about 8:15. But nothing wrong with liking to be punctual.

Oh hey the meal planning thing is so hard when u live alone and first move out! I struggled for a couple years but finally found a way that works for me. I wrote all the meals I know how to cook (and enjoy) onto little wooden sticks -I got 100 for £1 - I put them all in a jar then pick 5 out every week. Day 6 is for if I have leftovers and day 7 is to use something up from the freezer or get a takeaway. It’s helped so much ☺️☺️☺️ love ur lil home x

I've been living on my own (well, with roommates, but still) for four years and I guess I've become my own mother because watching that grocery haul all I could think of was- where's the vegetables?? She's gotta eat vegetables!! :" I'm kidding obviously, you're doing such a great job and your enthusiasm is contagious! I really hope you get along with your neighbors and are able to build a nice community 💕💕

A couple things, first, I feel like you're my best friend, although I've never met you! second, your neighbors are super lucky! Lol and third, you should get a po box if you don't already have one so we can send you things, like move in gifts or bath bombs and shit haha ok hope this wasn't to weird or creepy! Just wanted to say for Katniss it helps a lot if you have familiar things around the apartment. So if most of your stuff is new try & bring some things from your old place. She’ll come around tho, especially because the most important person in her life is with her.

These are fun!! Love the vlog style and poor kitty! Cats just hate moving :(. I’ve moved (I think) 6 times so far (military family) and I’d say it takes is about a month before a new place feels like home. But it’s so much easier when it’s stuff you already had so everything is more familiar.

I moved into my first apartment when my cat was a kitten too! He’s a black cat as well 🖤 I have such good memories of my first apartment. In time, it will feel like home. Once you fill it with things you love, make some meals, or have company over, it feels like a safe place!

This video popped up in my recommended and I love it! I love seeing people live in apartments because I moved from my parents house into a house with my boyfriend, so I never got to have the apartment experience. Your kitty is so cute! I have a black cat as well that I’ve had for 17 years. As far as cats go on adjusting to a new house, it depends on the cat. I have 4 cats. 2 of them acted like they’ve lived in our current house all of their life. The other 2 took some time. It’s best to set up the shy ones in a room that they can feel safe in with their litter box, food, and water and then just let them explore the house on their own

Congrats on having your first ever place! Getting to set up your first place and celebrate things like being able to dance in your kitchen without people watching is just the best!! Slowly moving in is definitely the smart way to go. And I love the couch! I have two arm chairs in that same color and velvet and love the color! The velvetyness of it all has really not been an issue. I have a blue denim couch with that color chairs and it's so cool.

Cat mom tip, my Revan was V.stressed when I moved out and what I did was get a kitty tent (I think target has them) and a new cat tower so he had spaces to hide. It took him about a week and half to adjust to moving (and I had to bring him across country). Also if she is used to being around more noise (ie family with kiddos) throw on a podcast for her if you gotta run out... so she has some noise cuz the quite might be upsetting for her.. good luck with your new place.

Oh my gosh Brooke you and I are the same people!!! If I am on time I’m late. I am constantly waiting for other people because I am always early at least by half an hour. And in my profession as a flight attendant that is a must, so it has served me well. Because my parents always taught me that if you’re late it means that you’re selfish and you don’t care for anybody else or respect their time. So you go girl you keep being you!!!!

I find for meals, if you have basic spices and herbs, pasta, rice, mixed veg and of you desire, meats you'll be set and make in bulk and freeze extras is a huge help

This is so nice to watch 😊 Katnis will probably take a while to get used to the new place, but just be patient with her. The more the place smells like you and your stuff, the more comfortable she'll get. Just make sure she knows where her litter box is ❤️
