Hi loves, I wanted to do another few days in my life and be honest about how I've been feeling. I've been struggling with depression and some low days and thats completely normal. Now that I'm feeling a bit better, I wanted to vlog for you guys because I've made some changes to my apartment :) I decorated my bedroom and moved some things into my office as well! As someone who suffers from anxiety depression and ptsd girl you are not alone. When I first moved into my new apartment every noise I jumped. My kids are grown and so its the first time I have ever lived on my own. We all have rough days with depression and anxiety. Everything you are feeling and dealing with are normal well normal for us anxiety having people. Its nice to see you smiling. Hope you take a nice bath light some lavender candles and get a good night sleep

You’re such a bright, beautiful person. I’ve struggled with anxiety and hyper vigilance myself. It usually stems from some sort of trauma in the past. Counseling from a wonderful female therapist did a world of good for me. As well as the right medication and plenty of relaxing deep breathing. One day at a time. Keep up the great work you do on this and your True Crime Channel. Hugs!!

I love these vlogs! I’m moving at the end of the month and I’ve been getting so stressed out about it. It’s to the point where I try to relax at night but I can’t stop thinking about all the things I still need to do. Watching you move has been so cathartic and calming and you’re one of my new favourite KZfaqrs. 😄

I hear you. The trick I use is when I have those dark days, I won't put pressure on myself. But if I get a minute, a second an hour of clarity, that's when I get up and fly into action. It's 5.27 am in the UK and I have done all the washing, changed the cat litter tray, cleaned his food bowls. That may not work for everyone but try it.

OMG, Catnis is adorable. I'm sorry you've been having a hard time. I've had a hard year too, because I live alone and during COVID, I'm missing the social interaction (even though I'm an introvert). I do think you're doing good things for yourself, getting yourself some treats, eating well, etcs... Always nice to just spoil yourself a little.

As a mom of two, the oldest sister of 15, I could go on all day with tips,even in the depression period ,FYI ,I wish I could take that away from you ,😇, at your age you are so far ahead than most, but it’s not about that, be comfortable, your kitty will protect you by the way ,again from Florida✌🏻😷

Your hair, nails and that orange on you is just🔥 Just thought I'd put a little note here, if you have any kind of mood disorder (for me it is rapid cycling bipolar) then the sugar free alternatives to things which contain artificial sweeteners can give you really bad migraines! Also pleeeeease give yourself a break Brooke, sometimes I really struggle with things like doing my laundry every week and then I have to catch myself because I end up giving myself a hard time about it which of course makes it worse, we can be our biggest bullies to ourselves and we can never escape ourselves so it's important to be kind with our inner voice and not critical. Sorry if it sounds like I'm preaching I have just realised how long I've done this for and since learning how to catch those little thoughts I've felt much better💛

Awww sweetie. I can relate to the ups and downs of depression Been years if not all my life. So I do understand. Yes you know better what it is more then anyone :). But I also want to remind you. You have had a lot going on lately Huge events!! My gosh. So much. Exciting but also stressful and life changing. Big changes can be hard for people like us. So if you need some time to just stay in bed longer then normal or skip the laundry and dishes. Don’t be hard on yourself. Pick a good movie or tv show and just enjoy :). And as per having all you have because of people loving you and your amazing KZfaq channel. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. It couldn’t have happened to a better person.❤️❤️❤️. Brooke i 100% get what you said about depression, I've been struggling with panic attacks and bad dreams again latley, despite being medicated, it's a tough process. We just have to take it day by day and find small things to take joy from. You are doing so brilliantly! I am lucky i have my children to distract me, i default to protective muma bear mode, it helps buffer the worst of my anxiety. You cope living alone like a boss. I'm honestly in fear of an empty nest. I do the same with glass wear, i don't drink alcohol but love how those okd school crystal whiskey glasses look, so i have some just because. Sending love and hugs your way ❤ ps. My babies( not really babies, 13,10 and 10) love watching your vlogs ❤. Could you do a hair care vlog one day please.

I have anxiety and depression and some days I feel very unsettled and others I feel more calm. It also baffles me when I think I’m having a calm day and people will comment that I seem really hyper.

Literally at the most random times I’ll get this thought like “there’s someone under your bed” or like I’ll think I’m being followed if I get up at night and it’s literally for no good reason but also I like have to keep a baseball bat under my bed even though we have a security system so it’s not possible 😀

my house is edwardian, so the doors and the floorboards are all wood, which makes the house pretty loud, so I know that no one would be in the house, but I have an irrational fear of it and sometimes cant sleep till 4am because of it

I also suffer from anxiety and depression and just got out of a long slump, live alone with my cat, and walk around my house with a taser in my hand I had no idea hyper vigilance was a thing! Katniss reminds me of my girl Luna. She is black too, but she is missing her front leg (amputation as a kitten) and she is just as adventurous with things I have around the house just like Katniss with the paintings. Love it, keep vlogging sis we love to see it! 💕

Hi Brooke, I love where you placed all of your pictures. Katnis is so adorable, she seems to be your shadow just like my Lissi. You could always use little tacks to keep drape on bed frame, if you want your initial idea. I love it tied too. When I was 25 I got my first place alone with my 4 year old daughter after I left her dad & I didn’t drink alcohol either but I bought these really cute champagne 🥂 flutes & I used to drink my seltzer water with lemon juice in them. Lol. I didn’t think it was right just because I didn’t drink that I couldn’t use the fancy glasses. I really like getting to know you aside from watching your true crime cases. The light switch and thermostat being so low on the wall might also be so that disabled people who use wheelchairs are easily able to use them... your apartment seems pretty accessible. 😊

I have the exact same bed as you do only mine is black.... The hardest part for me has been figuring out how to drape the sheer fabric over the top bars. I have wrapped it around and just hung it... still dont have it how I like lol

They make siren door alarms that give off a pretty loud sound for cheap on amazon. I found those to help me feel more secure at night!

I second this. I have one on each door. Mine are from Dollar Tree. Definitely good for piece of mind.

Hey love, for extra safety you should have curtains on the window behind your headboard area just in case if glass breaks it won’t go through the cracks of the blinds and hit you while your asleep.

Love these videos! I really am not trying to be annoying but I think the pictures in your room might work a little better if they're a bit lower. So when you're looking straight on they're more person height and also they'll be below your bedframe when you look straight on so it won't obstruct the view. But either way it looks great! I think the distance apart is perfect though!
