Sorry for the raw video but I was just too happy with these cutting results after tightening up the machine. The cutter is the $16 single flute that I've mentioned in my previous builds. Cutting walnut beautifully!

This is amazing Brian, thanks for the further videos. It would be really nice to see a couple of talking head videos from you about the machine and the process of building it and redesigning parts of it!

In your opinion would this machine be capable of 3d carving objects up to 3" in height? I was looking at getting a shapeoko however the timing just isn't right for me to spend that kind of money on a toy right now.

@@ProjectsbyBrian main purpose would be to make casting patterns to be used in metal casting so anything critical is machined on the casting using a milling machine or lathe after the fact so tolerances on the pattern/castings don't have to be too tight.
