On the road to 1k subs! Thank you everyone for the support lately!

This is my first successful aluminum part off of my MPCNC! While the numpad isn't perfect, it's a great step in the right direction for the machine.
If there is enough demand, I can upload longer videos of the MPCNC cutting. I know some people can watch it all day, while others can find it pretty boring haha.
Speeds/feeds:
Walnut - 30in/min, 0.22in DOC, 2D Adaptive 0.1in Optimal Load
Aluminum - 10in/min, 0.04in DOC, Single Flue Endmill from V1
Regarding the speeds/feeds for the aluminum. This is about as fast as I can go with this bit. Also one thing I'll be doing in the future is a finishing pass for the aluminum. I did it for the walnut along the inside of the case, but forgot to for the aluminum. The switches were a tight fit when I put them in, but it worked.

Looks great! The only thing I’d do differently is to inset the aluminum on the face for a wood reveal around. Cool project!

Thanks for the videos. What is the little tool you're using to zero the Z axis?

I noticed your spindle powers on at the same time after homing your Z. Is your control board doing that, and if yes, how is that circuit oriented? Is it just a relay connected to an unused Dpin?

with what bit did you cut the cherry cutouts? I want to cut a keyboard plate and I'm afraid that I'll have to use a very thin tip due to the corner radius (cherry mx says that corner radius for the mount hole should be <0.3mm). Did you use a 2mm bit? Did it work well? are the switches sitting tightly?

Would you happen to have the stl or link to the dewalt mount? I've been looking for a decent vacuum setup and I think that mount would work. for me.
