Saw the magician years ago and I was genuinely gobsmacked Scott Ryan didn't fo anything more and nobody signed him up. Could tell in that film he was a special talent. Love this rag to riches story. Well done Scott boy. Love from scotland

I saw one clip from Mr Inbetween on KZfaq and immediately looked up the series. I’m glad I did. It’s the best thing since sliced bread. Absolutely genius.

Mr Inbetween was the best series I've seen in years, each show was packed with exciting moments and not knowing what is coming next. Sadly enough it was cancelled after the second episode. All of my friends and relatives also liked this show "BRING IT BACK Now".

Very good show. Kind of like the Australian Breaking Bad. Fills a needed void in TV land for that more visceral, dark satire. But also has a subtle warm hearted undercurrent.

I would much more compare it to Barry. Which is another show about a hitman that is trying to live a normal life. And also has a lot of comedy to it as well. Major difference is the main characters as Barry is more of a sociopath who's trying to understand what it is to be normal and have a normal life. Where Ray basically has his shit figured out and knows what it is to be normal.

Really, really excellent show. Especially when you hear the "back story". Scott is excellent, the daughter is very, very good. And there is one more layer to the story. It's how all the bad guys (Michael Corleone, Tony Soprano,...) are all powerful and have things under control, but they were all pretty powerless with their kids...

Scott the writer and the actor who plays Ray isn’t writing anymore. He’s not writing any more about Ray shoesmith. So it was his decision to pull it not the network’s.

The thing about Ray is you don't have to fear him unless you're an asshole, he treats his family, friends and even his dog good. It's the people that have no respect or screwed over his employer or his friends and family that will be on the receiving end of Ray, great show he's perfect for the part. I'm a fan

There are so many similarities (and differences) between Australia and the U.S, both good and bad. This show really struck a chord and apart from the fantastic story telling, educational. Mindblowingly good.

Mr Inbetween is an Australian masterpiece. The best Australian series I have watched. It is such a shame there were only 3 series. I truly wish Scott and Nash would reconsider doing more series for all of us cult followers. A show not to be missed. 🇦🇺

This show is arguably around the same time in the early 2000's. I'd just turned 18, was at Tafe but was also in a few different things to make money heh. Nothing like Ray & his friends lol.

This show is the best australian show ever, (not a high bar i admit) but it really is head and shoulders above everything else, it's dark, sinister yet hilarious at the same time. I know Scott was a bit burned out and over "Ray" but faaaark, we need more seasons, and he left the door open at the very end so get on it people! Yes, i know, i owe Britt a dollar as well........

Ray is anathema . His job and all it entails , yet he is not necessarily portrayed as a sociopath . Such a departure from all the "vanilla" bullshlaken painting the TV landscape .

I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY OF THE SERIES YET BUT JUST WATCHING THE CLIPS ON KZfaq ARE ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. SCOTT RYAN IS TOPCLASS IN LEAD ROLE , FOR SOMEONE WHO ISN'T A PROFESSIONAL ACTOR AS SOMEONE HAD SAID TO HIM HE WOULD NEVER MAKE IT , I HOPE THAT INDIVIDUAL APOLOGIES TO SCOTT FOR HIS COMMENTS, SCOTT HAS CERTAINLY GOT THE LOOK AND STEEL EYE STARE AND GRIN FOR TO LET PEOPLE KNOW DO NOT FUCK WITH ME . EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE FROM SCOTT. MAY YOU STAR IN A LOT OF OTHER ADVENTURES ON SCREEN.
