❗ Barely 22 years old, blushing, walking into Jackie Chan's studios, a translator with him, so in AWE he could barely speak, then talking so fast Jackie very sweetly interjected and gave him a minute, they laughed, talked and Dimash told him a story about when he was a little boy his Father brought home a video and Jackie had only a "bit part" and he burst out crying, was inconsolable that Jackie wasn't the star ! How he was his hero growing up and all his friends at home will be so jealous ! He just shuffled his feet and grinned and grinned ! It was adorable. Jackie spent a lot of time with him, at one point turning and saying to someone under his breath "what a wonderful kid" Dimash presented him with a dombra,then pulled up a chair and played a long piece for him, Jackie's eyes twinkling, smiling watching Dimash's obvious joy in what he was doing. From my point of view, I cannot make a top ranking of Dimash's songs, the original ones, regardless of the composer (Igor, Dimash or someone else), leaving aside the covers. I come back to the idea, so I can't make a top. Why? Simple: each song by Dimash has a different theme, a different melodic line, different feelings, different tonalities. Each track is unique in lyric, interpretation, musical essence and message. If you listen to one, you like it more, if you listen to another, you like it even more, you can't decide because you can't.
