Great work mate. Level of detail is amazing hence the effort you put in these tutorials is so much appreciated. I remember I did a decoke on my Cx5 following one of your tutorials, and I ain't a mechanic. Got my driving license 3 years ago and did not know anything about cars before nor about engines at all. However, you make everything so accesibile even for newbies. Thanks for this great work. Where about are in UK are you based?
@MrNiceGuy94 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your nice words. To be honest this isn't a detailed video at all. Or at least not as detailed as I want it to be. I wanted to record everything and make a proper tutorial of it so that anybody can do it at home. However, the car came only for carbon cleaning, but it was so badly clogged that when I cleaned it, I couldn't put a camera into the intake holes so I had to scrape the carbon with a screwdriver first to see which valves are open or closed and during that probably some of it may have dropped into the cylinder. Then I couldn't turn the engine over, that's why I had to take off the valve cover and I was shocked what I have seen. After that I contacted the owner and we decided to get it done properly. That is what you can see in the second part of the video. I may do a explanation video what happened and what I have done to make it clean and running again if people will be interested. I am from East London/Essex.

I already drive it for this like 2 months, I feel the lower power and higher fuel consumption, but will it affect other parts of engine and similiar? Mazda 6, 2017, 2.2 D

Hi there, I have seen many videos reguarding this engine . I have a Mazda 6 with the gas 2.5 litre, I am so glad that I don"t live in the U.K. where they only sell these God awful 2.2 DIESELS , they are total crap, the sludge and carbon build up after just 90-100,00 miles is insane, and should have destroyed mazdas reputation for " HIGH RELIABILITY". Skyactive technology my ass ! Just check out Kennedy"s Garage (in Ireland) he has 4 videos on the extreme carbon build up on these Mazda diesels !
@lrogue54269 ай бұрын
Incorrect the UK do have 2.0 and 2.5 petrols for sale. They are just not as common as the dreadful diesels
@265justy4 ай бұрын
I'm in Ireland and drive a 1.8 petrol GH Maz 6.. True most are diesels here and in the UK. But there is still petrol models also to be found here. Diesel cars are generally cheaper to run in terms of road tax and fuel prices.. But in terms of maintenance and reliability... Petrol are better. I personally would never buy a diesel Mazda. I've seen and heard too many horror stories about them. My next car will probably be a Sky active G 2.0L petrol.

Hi, I can assure you that every 2.2 skyactiv looks like this after around 50k miles. I mean the carbon buildup in the intake manifold. The oil sludge underneath the valve cover is from a worn injector washer, diesel in oil and late oil changes.
@tmautosstaustellcornwall58824 ай бұрын

Guy does’t change motor oil or what? Also you skipped cleaning the head intake ports…!? But this Mazda would be my choice of a car if I lived in Europe.

For the water pump itself it is 9 - 12Nm and for the housing that holds the actual waterpump/thermostat etc. 44 - 54Nm tighten top bolt nearest to water pump wheel first then diagonally across followed by top opposite and finally bottom closest to waterpump
