I know this video is old but I just got into this game and you’re videos are BY FAR the best videos on this game. Thank you for helping me learn this stuff because I wouldn’t have been able to play the game without these 🙏

@@callsign_daddy6737 the padded seat is the smallest seat, but all your controls will have to be buttons and levers.

Well, if you want to use the WASD keys, use the driver seat, it's small enough

@@dnt_alert5806 you can actually use a remote controller from the padded seat these days and store it anywhere within arm's reach, you will have to use a micro-controller to decompile the composite signal the recievers send out however, but it can be done with WASD and the arrow keys!

Ey! Nice to see that you followed up on my tip with the inverter for steering 😅 very nice tutorial though. I think it will help many with these jets, as they can be quite finicky..

Does anyone know of a waterjet reverse tutorial? I haven't found one and the advice of sending a 1 to both deflectors simultaneously doesn't make sense to me. How do you do that without replacing the connections to steer left and right? This is the last detail to finish my boat and it's driving me crazy!

a reverse system is completely different on a waterjet, you need to give both deflectors the same value to make it go backwards using a numerical switchbox

Great video. I forgot about the Inverter for directing the jet streams. I could just do turns in one direction :) Anyway, i find it fun to use a jet engine turbine to power the Waterjets :) It realy flys :) You have to watch the RPS or your flying of into the sunset.

More or less the same, you want to get the engine on a low rps as possible however it will be harder with jets compared to props

What is better on large ship? Large diesel and large prop or large diesel and this water jet. And is possible to use water jet as water cannon for firefighting?

the update might have broken it it is the data with the left and right and inverter once i tried the right way it didint work..... i tried going another way like the open space but... it still didint work idk whats cuseing the issue

Feeding both the jets a 1 for reverse wont work with this setup, the jets can only take 1 input so you cant directly control the deflectors with the helm and feed them a separate reverse with a numerical switchbox

So you can use this with a hydro foil, this is what im doing, and I beleive you can use the vertical trim instead of control surfaces? Also I wan't to water cool my engines so I need to pump through the sliders.

If you have the fluid in port at the front of the ship, does this add any additional thrust given that it’s sucking in water?

No, use pumps to build up pressure if you transport it a long way to the water jets.

I made a big catamaran with 8 large diesel engines and 16 water jets that does about 45/50 knots. My experience is that the jets aren't very efficient, but with enough jets and power, you could get quite alot of speed 😁

98madman98 you say inefficient but i cant get the same kinda speeds with props. Im having allot of problems getting my tanker above 30m/s 8 jets powered by a medium motor per jet

How do you reverse with Fluid Jet? you skipped over that part and I can't figure out how to send the same signal to both left and right, have you covered that in a tutorial before?

@@MrNJersey That's the part where I am lost, I do not know how to send a 1 to both hehe xD ... I gave up and moved onto making an advanced helicopter with pusher prop at the rear, such a fast helicopter 0v0

kid Hope this Helps. Get The Numerical SwitchBox Then Put Another 2 Number. One number should have an a number of 1 (this goes to the ON signal of the SwitchBox) The other one should stay *0* (Goes to the off) then the output if the switchbox has to be connected to the left and right of the Jet😊Nice Vid Mrn

@@MythionVR 1. Toogle Button (reverse) ---> Switchbox (ON Signal RED) 2. Connect two "Constant Number" modules to On GREEN and Off GREEN on Switchbox. 3. Make one Constant number 1, and the other 0 4. When Togglebutton is ON the number 1 signal should be sent to each jet you want reverse, This makes the streams direct backwords. 5. Toggle button of to reset and just steer as usal. Hopes this helps.

@@bluenight317 If you add alot more fluid portsand a large pump or 2 I got one of my fluid cannons to go .2 km that is 200 meters so you can make a stronger fluid cannon also sometimes I find that it doesnt need as many pumps as you'd expect you could have maybe one or two pumps but it needs more fluid ports since there is only so much water that can go through one port at a time.
