Full Metal Jacket isn't really a war movie, nor an anti-war movie. It's a satire on the machinations of the war machine, and how humans function and get twisted in extreme conditions. Kubrick could have made a movie about a deadly Battle Royal event with extensive media coverage and it could have worked out similar. Vietnam, or any war for that matter, is only a setting.

If I'm not mistaken, Heather was legit his perfect match. She's really beautiful, strong, smart, and has the same energy. Unfortunately, since she was a spy/secret agent, and often had many enemies after her, she decided to erase her from Johnny's memories so she doesn't put Johnny's life in danger whenever they're together. 😢

I'm convinced that Johnny is a very chill Super Saiyan. His hair is blonde, always standing up, and can't be cut. He wears sunglasses so that people aren't intimidated by his inhuman cutting cyan eyes. And he's just so extremely durable.
