Palmerston North Police are obviously trained to not give their identification. I have seen them on occasion even cover their QID numbers, so that you can't even request their name under the OIA. And given they all wear masks now, it is actually even more important for them to identify themselves. When they are on the road, are they not required to wear the high viz short sleeve reflector vests during the day, & the long sleeved high viz reflector jackets at night?

I’m a big fan of these audits however I would have liked to see a bit more banter with the officers to see what they would do and if they would have recommended things within the law. While I am far from a police sympathiser I think you were a bit aggressive with them from the get go. You could have said “I am filming and I don’t answer any questions” then proceeded to ignore them. Also you have a verbal threat captured on camera from the wannabe thug. Wish someone would do these in Auckland.

I think that if you can pick up some of his approach your videos would be much more educational and interesting if either of those are goals you have for your channel. Just a thought .
