I have found a lid assembly for this laptop & confirmed my suspicion about the internal structure: imgur.com/a/AGodIrH That would be lucky to last you for more than 6 months of normal use.

I’ve had mine almost 3yrs and it’s been great. Runs most games on high settings with good fps. No issues other than the a key has some wear. And I have noticed the screen seems quite dim in comparison to my new monitor. But for someone who wanted a gaming laptop that looked good and didn’t stand out as an obnoxious gaming laptop in public I think it’s great. No issues with battery life as someone who wouldn’t use it unplugged for more than 3hrs. I imagine u can get better for ur money but I don’t regret mine

i bought the 3060 model and sold it because it always thermal throttled like crazy and got ass performance :) very pretty laptop though

Delta 15 looks to be the exact same laptop but with minor styling tweaks & of course the AMD parts inside. I wouldn't bother with it.

fwiw and as hard as it is in certain areas to still find this model, I picked up the Katana GF76 12UE on a sale and it's a really decent performer for the price: 1450$/CDN (about 1070 USD) 12700H 3060 6gb 16gb ddr4 1tb ssd 17" screen Screw brand loyalty, every brand is capable of making bad products, and these reviews are great mini-indicators of attention to quality of these companies (or lack thereof) I go product by product these days, checking for informative reviews and ensuring it meets the needs I have while not senselessly over performing and bloating costs unnecessarily.

I bought one in 2021, the battery does not hold a good charge anymore. It pretty much has to be plugged in all the time.

Of course, even with a product branded with the name "Stealth," MSI still slaps their ugly logo on the lid, but this time they made it iridescent as if that's any better.

So many ways to place a logo in a clever way. They chose to go with a cheap and kitsch sticker (if it _is not_ a sticker, that's even worse). Though, I do like how you wrote "irridescent", with two "r". It reminded me of another word that fits better: "irritating" xD

15:11 lmao i just checked my Ideapad after seeing this and ye that's true. Near the sd card slot i can see two sheets : one black plastic , another metal sheet on outside. What a scam !

I"ve owned a first Gen stealth (1185G7 2060 Max-Q) and a 2nd Gen (i7 1280p RTX 3060) and they were both flawless with extremely good performance, you just got a lemon

I know this video is over a year old at this point but I noticed you point out the "Factory Seal" sticker. Do New laptops even come with those? I purchased a MSI GE77HX around October of 2022 and it didnt' have that sticker. I had to send it off for service and it came back with a sticker. maybe your unit wasn't new? Doesn't excuse anything that you mentioned in the video. From my MSI experience, I wont be purchasing another laptop from them. MSI dont't seem like they want return customers

They should if they are brand new. If you didn’t see a sticker, then most likely they somehow didn’t put a sticker on by accident or it was opened before.

I bought a Stealth 14 last week and it came with that sticker. I will say the 2023 Stealth 14 doesn't have any of these problems - base is flat and hinge feels a lot more solid, doesn't wobble at all. The hinge design is probably similar, but the laptop's at least decent.

To be honest, I've been carrying this laptop around in my backpack for around a month, no faults, no problems, great performance, it's a bit loud, but overall a generally amazing laptop. The build quality is enough for me, I don't smash my laptop every day onto the floor, so I'm happy with what I got.

Build quality is an issue as soon as this thing is a bit older. Its not all about accidents but also about how it holds up for 5-10 years.
