I love Mika 🎉🎉🎉 for speaking her mind. I did not expect that story, but it was important to illustrate a real-life scenario.

Once I was forced to have to give away my dog because of a divorce. The thought of killing my pet was never a thought. Unthinkable is what such a thought was. Instead, I took her to a shelter and paid for her to be taken care of until she was adopted. I wasn’t in there for more than 5 minutes before a couple came to me that was there to adopt a dog. So I gave her to them with them granting me permissions to come visit her when I got my living arrangements squared away. She lived a wonderful life with that couple until she was 20 years old and was always happy to see me when I came to visit. That’s what a normal person does. A sociopath is the kind of person that shots their own dog for no good reason. Just for being annoying. That’s an insane person with zero regard for life.

That " woman" cant have a puppy trained or herself have some sort of empathy for him, why would anyone assume she can do anything for anyone in her state. Vote blue 💙💙💙 all the way!

Had a neighbor who had two dogs of terrier mixed with ? I warned her that her dogs were trying to dig under the steel fence I had put up. She threw loose dirt into the hole. Two days later I hear a ruckus in my chicken coop. Her dogs were in my chicken coop. Only one hen was damaged before I got out there and threw them out of the coop. I yelled for her to come get her dogs or I would drown them in my goldfish pond (I wouldn't but she didn't know that). Only one hen was hurt. part of her breast was torn open. I treated her and she outlived all of my other hens I had in that group. Her name was Effie. I now have Tanya and Tallulah, Australorp hens,; Uma and Ursula,: two barred rock hens and one little Production Blue hen named Veronica. My hens give us their eggs and then they live as retirees for the rest of their lives. My hens love me because I give them dried mealworms and bugs. I also have 4 dogs. Wendy and Surprise are my 16 year Tibetan Spaniels, they are from the same litter and two other small dogs who had a Chihuahua mother who seems to have had many other dogs. One looks like a wire-haired Wheaten Terrier ;and his littermate who looks like a Min Pin. Their names are Rico and Ponce. Spot the cat owns me. The dogs love him.

Can’t believe the SPCA hasn’t denounced Noem for not putting the pup up for adoption so it could be the family pet it was meant to be. All this shows is that Noem is unable to come up with rational solutions to a problem.

Fellow chicken & dog owner here. Love the Mika's been bit by the bird bug. We got Candy, a sweet new puppy - five months old and very shy and gentle. The day we brought her home from the Humane Society, she stepped out of the car and looked instantly bemused by the chickens free ranging around the yard. Within seconds she wriggled out of her harness - yes, she was leashed and in a harness! - and charged off into the thickest cluster of our girls, frantically slapping them with her paws and trying to catch one in her jaws. After darting around after her for a minute or so, I managed to catch her, scoop her up and bring her inside. I talked to her a long time - that I understood she's wired to chase those funny things, but they're her sisters and that's a no-no. That night, I went out with her and got a properly fitting harness and retractable leash. The next day we started a few weeks of training that I called "Chicken Zen". I'd take her out on a short leash to the coop yard. We plopped down on the ground right in the middle of the flock and I'd hold on to Candy, with my arm around her shoulders to gauge her reaction. Being naturally curious and social, the chickens eventually surrounded us, picking and scratching, and checking us out. Any time Candy started to get up, I'd hold her down and tell her no, then pat her when she calmed down. Any time I felt her start to prep to lunge, I'd hold her tight and tell her no, then pat her when she calmed down. Any time I'd feel her shoulders tighten, I'd give her a big backrub and tell her no. When she would finally calm all the way down and lay down, I'd tell her how good she was and give her a treat. Within a few days, she listened to my commands to leave them alone if she forgot and started to get excited. Within a couple of weeks, we could let her out amongst the chickens. Six years later, she still hangs with the flock and takes dust baths with them. Compassion can be taught, even to dogs. But you need to have it to teach it.

Watching these ladies listening to Mikas' horrible story was a breath taker. Thank you, Mika, for not shooting your dog.

doesnt she also attack Natives and the reservations? look I had a cat that got cancer and she was 16 usealy the type of cat she was doesnt live past 14 or 15. we took her to the vet one night and found out she wouldnt be able to have a good quality of life they gave us two options expensive medicine that would just more then likely pro long her suffering or we could put her down.. Trust me I cried like this little furry creature was our child. We made the hardest desicion and let the vet end her suffering I know we made the right choice but man even 5 years later is stings sometimes. I seen my grandpa put a dog down that was old couldnt walk couldnt eat and I never seen that man cry like he did that day the dog got bitten by a rattle snake and we had no 24 hr vet and the poor little guy just wouldnt survive. I say all this to say I cant imgainge them people like this this Noem lady not being even a little bit upset. I cant even watch the dang commercials with the poor animals who are being rescued with out tearing up. I just will never understand Hurting Animals and Children at all
