Күн бұрынToday is one of the FEW free days I have this summer, and I knew Posey County tests Wednesday's at 1:00, so I got a ride to Mt.Vernon to record the oldest siren in the system, a Model 5. The siren sounded a 3 minute attack cycle.
I learned today that Model 5's are NOT that loud.
When the siren is winding down, you can hear one of the Sentry 10V2T's, the one on the West side of town.

Good video, reminds me of an old Model 5 I saw in Versailles, IN because of the shroud.

Model 5's always make killer echos. BTW that lower louver angle probably has a lot to do with the sould level.

Model 5s are actually quite potent, but compared to the 40v2t which you got the privilege to record it's nothing. This is a Fedelcode which means the louvers have a sharper angle and point the sound far more downwards than a normal Model 5, making this one sound far less potent.
