Can you reveal your source for the new old stock intermediate brake cans? MGM doesn’t make them anymore and all they can provide is an aftermarket stock number. My same passenger side chamber was leaking, but mine was when I would push in my parking break knob to release the parking brakes. I’ve found some used ones off a parts truck but would love to replace them new like you did! Thanks Jason

Excellent question, with the vents rotten, I had a helper release the brakes and apply pressure to brake pedal then I chased down the noise

Couple random MTVR questions for you. How do they compare offroad to a 5 ton and what kind fuel mileage does yours get? Debating on whether to go with a 5 ton or an MTVR for an overlanding rig.

If you’re going to overland for weeks at a time far from civilization, a 5 ton may be smarter for fuel economy and reliability. But if fuel economy is no issue, and not far from help, the MTVR will flat out walk circles around a 5 ton day in and day out

@@mtvrchannel3051 I've seen that the 5 tons will get about 8-10 mpg depending, how much worse is the 7 ton? I am planning on going out on extended trips in bfe as well so range is pretty important. I'm in fleet maintenance so the reliability doesn't concern me as much although there is a LOT more suspension components on the bigger truck which is kinda worrying. Thanks for your time and answers!

@@SedatedandRestrained my mtvr averages 2-3 around town with a heavy foot and 5.7 towing 30k running wide open on the governor at 65mph. My old M923A2 would average 5 around town and about 10 on the highway at 65. The older 5 tons are simpler on axle technology being straight axle, but regular maintenance is easier on the 7 ton. Instead of packing bearings you’re changing oil

@@mtvrchannel3051 thanks so much for the info, I've spent so much time looking for actual numbers on these trucks and it's awesome to get exactly what I was trying to find. I will probably go with the 5 ton just for the fuel usage and 5 less tons of girth. Looking forward to your future videos though, particularly on that Sherpa winch longevity as I'm going with the same model.
