Howard Garney they aren’t available to the public at the moment. And MTVRs only come with aluminum hard tops, never a soft top model produced

Any tips/recommendations on what to look for when buying a 7 ton MTVR?

Do these LED headlights produce any heat? I've heard the drawback of converting to LEDs is ice build-up as the LEDs do not produce enough heat to melt snow/ice. I believe you're in a warmer climate so it's not a big deal, but for others it may be.

I’ll have to test them when it’s cold, some JW speaker lights have heaters inside but I cannot confirm if these do yet

I have a couple of questions, how did you find the trucks and how do you find parts for the trucks? How did you learn ho to repair and service these beasts?
@mtvrchannel30514 жыл бұрын
Tai once upon a time when I had my 5 ton, I spotted one of these and started drooling. Well as soon as I heard they were going to be for sale I sold my old truck off and bought one via GovPlanet. Parts, just require a little searching, repairs are fairly straightforward as long as you have some basic diagnostic skills and mechanical aptitud

Did you have to re-wire anything? Or were they plug and play? I can’t listen to the audio, not sure if you explained it or not. Thanks

How to get 12v power out of a 24v system?
@mtvrchannel30514 жыл бұрын
You can hook up to one of the batteries and achieve 12v but it’ll discharge it unequally and lead to a short battery lifespan. What’re you looking to run?

I would like to order some JW speaker headlights for my MTVR . I just got the truck and the factory headlights are dim. After watching your video it looks like a huge improvement. My truck is a 2007 with factory air conditioning. The truck runs and drives great ACTIS system works. All the fluids have been changed. The passenger seat was not bolted down very well it seems as though there may have been up armored plating on the floor there are a lot of holes in the floor and it looks like there were bolts cut off with a torch. I installed heavy rubber matting used in horse stables on the floor and re-bolted the passenger seat down. The door seals were missing in some places I installed new door seals. I adapted regular windshield wipers to work fabricating brackets. I am using the truck in a commercial capacity to haul my 40,000 pound excavator or a trailer. I bought a converter for the trailer wiring from 24 V to 12 V it works great. I had to change a cracked CV boot cover. Your video helped tremendously. My truck only has 7000 miles on it. I just bought three brand new old stock tires and rims. After watching your video on how to break down the tires I decided to buy them altogether. It would be super helpful to know the model number of the correct headlight to fit my MTV are I think it is the 8800 JW speaker. The truck is a real workhorse it has my excavator like nothing is behind it. It really shows it straight off road. We operate in southern Louisiana where the soil’s are extremely soft mighty and unstable normal trucks don’t stand a chance.

I don't know what the hell anyone would use one of these beasts for, but damn I want one. Maybe a daily driver. Can you bob a 7 ton?
@mtvrchannel30514 жыл бұрын
andy d there is no way I’d ever consider it, anything is possible but neutering a 7 ton would hurt
@mtvrchannel30514 жыл бұрын
And they also have complicated traction control and abs I’m sure it would create lots of problems
