Do agree but sadly his incredible ability to take a punch outwardly, is what led to his later illness with Parkinson's. The way he soaked up Foreman's best shots still scares me, the damage taken there must have been deep. Ali and his fellow boxers of the era were just true warriors. None of them would throw in the towel and take the money.

That one quick left hook of Ali’s that caught Mildeburger on the right of his jaw was SO FAST that you only knew the challenger had been hit by his head flying sideways. The actual punch you could hardly see!

I was in the military at that time stationed in Nuernberg. The fight was in Frankfurt and I was there for the fight. There was a few fights at Wald Stadium when the fight was over and Ali had won the fight. Drove all the way from Nuernberg to see that fight. That was my first time seeing Ali in person. It was a good fight.
