Today we’re talking about the world’s first ever internet based murder. It all started when Bruce Miller bought his wife Sharee a computer and she downloaded AOL. That day would lead to a whirlwind romance- and by that I mean fake pregnancies, twisted lies, and a whole lot of complete buffoonery that ultimately ended in a murder. What do you guys think? Was Sharee really just playing an internet game or was something much more sinister going on here?

So sad, the guy lost everything, then found happiness, thought it was in danger, did what he felt he had to to protect it, just to find out it was a lie. The guilt that poor man must've felt. I hope him and Bruce are both at peace.

why do you say there was 2 victims of this crime. every family member, & friend of these 2 men are victims as well. Even according to the law. That's why they are called VICTIM'S statements, that are given at sentencing in court. If you were to lose someone bc of a crime, the loss you feel still makes you a victim of that crime.

Gotta love how Jerry literally giftwrapped all of the evidence and handed it to police and led them right to Sharee. In essence, HE put her in prison from the grave. Amazing. When he found out who she really was, he decided she would pay for it. And he made sure she did. Also, sidebar, this story was on Forensic Files.

where did you get that they hadn't even seen each other? Bailey had said that she had been going back and forth to Reno alot on fake "Mary Kay conventions" and "meetings". the only thing that was in question was how she could get pegnant so quickly after a miscarriage. Which in fact medically speaking you can ovulate and get pregnant as soon as 2 weeks after having a miscarriage. so it's not that impossible that it could happen. phychologically not reasonable. Howwever, as we know this was Sherre and a lie.

Fun fact: I was on Montel in the early 2000's. He was absolutely lovely. He told me if I needed anything after the show he would help in any way he could. Really a very lovely man.

I literally grew up in Odessa, MO! I remember hearing about Jerry's death, it was big news in such a small town. Like so small there isn't even a stop light! I never knew about the rest of this story tho. Thank you for doing a video on this!

I taught at the correctional facility where Sharee is an inmate and recently learned that in 2019 she won a case to protect prisoners from retaliation when they report abuse by corrections officers. I'm horrified by what she did to these two men, and wish the best for their families. But also, it's pretty cool that the case led to improved civil rights for those who are incarcerated in Michigan. My students were talking about the case in my class and I never put two and two together until today.

I dont know cause sharee was replicanting what her mom did to her but like worst Man in out of the house moving in with a man she barely know with her kids Moving another man once bruce died like she created a lot of possiblitys to those kids to be abused Never arround What i hope is at least they got terapy cause without that is impossible to them to have a change to brake the cycle

I was an AOL chat room monitor in the General chat room back in the day. We were there to welcome everybody, answer questions and direct people to what they were looking for. It was freaking bizarre the questions people had. The other monitors and I became pretty close & even got together IRL in OHIO and went to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Meeting them & hanging out was one of the most fun vacations I’ve ever had. I still wonder what happened to all of them. I can’t even remember what my screen name was.
