Does the audio sound quiet to anyone else? The meters say its good but it sounds quiet to me. Let me know.

Indeed, sound was quieter on the second-ish part of the video, but still audible with no problems. I would highly recommend putting up the post processor to github (or equivalent). Then it's easy to follow if you make updates to it and also easier to find for search engines etc. I keep my linuxcnc lathe post there for these same reasons. Not that anyone besides me is using it, but still :) Great work on the post, thanks!

Interesting story read your website through the link see things you like and what got you here, we all have a story this is true. The volume on or within your video seems fine to these two desert dwellers. Thank you for sharing your video. Lance & Patrick.

Thank you for posting this, I have gotten your post to work with my 1996 vf3. I was curious why thread turning will not work if I have rigid tapping on my machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, thats great to hear there are others using my post still. I have not maintained it in 3+ years so I am not sure why rigid tap does not work.

Careful using stainless as the mandrel. Stainless likes to gall on itself. Better to use mild steel or something to avoid it. Most applications that require stainless for corrosion resistance will use either a brass thread or nut to avoid the galling.

Interesting, I will watch out for that. I like cutting stainless so I used that for the mandrel, but maybe I should switch it too a mild steel one then. Thanks for the tip. :D

Would like to see more on your tool setter. Is it homemade ? Keep up the good work youve done a pile of it with just getting the vf3 in your shop Jake

Thank you! The next vid is 90% toolsetter. I go into it in great detail. I'll upload the FS360 model for download as well. :)

@jerojr7542
@jerojr7542 3 жыл бұрын
Is there a fusion360 video that shows you how to program the part to be turn on the CNC mill?
@LucasIsBusy
@LucasIsBusy 3 жыл бұрын
No, bc they updated the program and I haven't been able to program parts this way anymore. 😕

Then a change tool is a change of origin coordinantes. And You never made a change tool with M06 g code. How Fusion can do? Because change or modify post processor ?

@@LucasIsBusy Is necessary use G43 H01 in g code, or different WCS for each tool is sufficient in the strategy or method lathe as a mill?
@LucasIsBusy
@LucasIsBusy 4 жыл бұрын
@@miguelzambranojr I used G43 to tell how long the workpiece was and G54 for where the tools were. You have to flip flop the WCS and tool offsets bc the workpiece is in the spindle.

Lucas Is Busy how can i modify my post to generate G43 H1 line ? Or could You throught manual nc?
@LucasIsBusy
@LucasIsBusy 4 жыл бұрын
@@miguelzambranojr you can modify the post for sure, but it will post out the G43 H01 command automatically....i think. It's been a while since I used that post so I'll have to go check. The G43 tells the machine how long the workpiece so it should be in there for sure.
