I did some 0 to 60 mph runs on my 2023 Acura Integra A-Spec. Let me show you how with acutal data and an experiment doing these launches.
I got myself a RaceBox 10Hz Meter Box to measure the 0 to 60 mph times. dragy is also another software that I recommend.

Nice video. Just some tips. For the integra the stock tires suck. Try launching no more than 1500 rpm this will reduce wheel spin and help you get off the line smooth with minimal wheelhop. For shifting don't shift at redline. Instead shift exactly at 6000 rpm because power drops significantly after 5800rpm. This should result in high 6s to low 7s

Thank you very much for the tips. Yeah I thought above 3 RPMs would do but you definitely heard those wheel spins 😆 I'll definitely do this 0 to 60 again with your tips along with better tires

If your getting the type s it behaves differently then the reg integra. Type s likes the redline lol.

Heat soak on your intercooler charge air.. test in sport mode when engine cool

💬 Looking at your Sport-mode launch: the tires are still in the middle of wheel-spinning / wheel-hopping in 1st gear near the RPM top-end just before shifting into 2nd. All the momentum is being lost, which is why the 0-60 times are weird between drive-modes. • There is a sweet spot to launch from, the speed you release the clutch, flooring it immediately vs. Flooring it slightly slower, etc.... If you can find a way to cut the excessive wheel-spin by the time you reach 6000 rpm in 1st, you could get better times. You can get away with a little wheel-spin though. • It's definitely a fun car; a ‘good daily vs. Sport driving’ balance, which is why I'm reluctant on getting a Type-S. (Gas mileage and monthly cost.) If you don't get the Type-S, look into PRL - they have the intake, bigger intercooler, downpipe... And if you're feeling up to spending bigger bucks, a Hondata tune.

I was actually thinking of either PRL or Hondatune for the next tune-up. It was pretty tricky to launch, considering it being my first time launching a manual car, but it makes sense what you said to find the sweet spot of shifting, releasing the clutch, not too much flooring to prevent the the wheel hop. I might do this trial again soon since the winter helps with the turbo. I'll probably change the tires as well. Thank you for this. I really appreciate it.

You’re getting too much wheel spin. If you have the all season tires on then they’re not helping either.

Definitely the wheel spin is the problem. Are summer or winter tires the best for 0 to 60?

This is slower than the new prius. FWD doesn't belong in anything that is supposed to be a "sports" luxury car. I just got a 2021 Audi S5, but I would have considered getting a new Integra Type S if it were AWD. Doesn't matter how wide they make the tires on that car, it's going to launch terribly. I can reliably get 4.5 seconds 0-60 on my S5 without even trying really, but if you search around youtube it's difficult to find anyone getting less than 6 seconds on a Civic Type R or Integra Type S. And besides launches, this matters in real world driving because the front tires will slip in the rain even if you aren't launching, so it's dangerous and difficult to accelerate even moderately hard in the wet. I would have bought a Type S with 260hp and AWD instead of the actual model having 320hp and FWD.

Yeah FWD vehicles are horrible for 0 to 60 launches. This car is no different unfortunately. Luckily, I got this car for the total package as a great daily car for my commute. Either an AWD or an RWD would be the car of my choice if I wanted thrills and speed in a sports car

The type S and Type R are overpowered to be front wheel drive. That fancy front suspension isn’t enough. The A-Spec at 200hp is perfect for a front wheel drive car that you daily drive.

@@jamielannoo4250 I completely agree. Maybe another 25hp would be ideal from a cost/benefit and fuel efficiency perspective, so that passing and merging onto the highway is a little easier. Before getting my S5 I drove the 200HP TLX and the TSX before that, and I will admit they were a little under powered. But the Type R Civic and Type S Integra are certainly too much for FWD.
