Thank you for this video. I love your system. Clearly, you love your hobby and it shows. I'd like to give you a bit of an advice, if I am not too presumptuous. I assume you plugged the P10 to the PD. If so, that minimizes - if not destroys - most of the benefits of the P10. Even the manual says that power plant should not be daisy chained. They should be connected directly to a wall socket and no other power conditioning unit should be before it. I have 3 PS Audio plants/conditioners. The last piece in the chain always measured worse than if you connected it directly to power line. That is why they power different power zones: digital, vinyl and main. But I might have misunderstood and you run them in parallel and not chained - then please ignore my suggestion. Thank you. But what a clean, wonderful system, attention to every detail, all is matched perfectly!
@vpconcepts98385 жыл бұрын
Vlad Grigorian Hi Vlad. I actually spoke with PS audio on this as I have had many products going back to the 90’s with the HCA amps & PCA preamp. The P10 does not have an ultimate outlet installed inside, so they are not running through twice. The P10 uses a different technology to AC regeneration compared to the old models. So the wall power goes into the power director, and the P10 goes into that. So all components are isolated on different plugs on the P10. The p10 on its own was to dark and rolled off. Plugging into the power directors ultimate outlet inside REALLY brought life back into the system. PS audio said it was fine. I’ve had it this way for 2 years with no issue. Thank you for listening!! 😊👍🎼✨

I just found your channel through this video, and I have to say, unlike several other people in this comment section I for one am giving a like on this video and a few words of support! You have a superb setup! It's definitely more than I would ever spend, but that's not the point of this video. You're sharing what you love, and *THAT* is the point! I noticed a couple of commenters on here that I used to subscribe to, they've shown their true colors on other videos and they're doing it here too. I would like to personally apologize for them. Not all of us in the vinyl/audio community are like that. You're sharing what you love and I commend you for that! I've tried reaching out to others in the vinyl community, and the vast majority of their behavior is to blow me off because apparently it's not okay to be 36 in the vinyl community. Seems like most people expect me to be 45 or older. They're pretentious snobs my man, keep making videos, and I'll keep showing my support for you!
Lol, I was like "Man, that's a cool looking turntable. I gotta have one. I've been looking to upgrade my Audio Technica for a while so I think I'll get this one... wonder how much it is..." *Looks up turntable* Nope! I love my Audio Technica. Never upgrading for the rest of my life. >_>

High end power cables is just nonsense. They cannot possibly overcome the supply cables in the wall. That system is about as good as you can get spending more money is not going to gain more quality. You could spend more money on a system but it would be for large auditoriums were more amplification would be needed.
@kylejantzen25 жыл бұрын
High end power cables aren't about getting "more" power than the wall can supply, they are about preventing interference and giving you the most pure sound possible. When you step up into systems in the $100K plus range they are essential.

You mean the cheapest possible Romex cable coming into the condo?
@bighands695 жыл бұрын
@@kylejantzen2 They are not going to overcome the quality of the cables in the wall that do not cost tens of thousands. Cables in the wall are cheap and are really concerned with safety such as insulation and fire protection. Expensive power cables are not going to change 50Hz mains power. How are they going to prevent interference on a 50Hz cycle? DO you think that 50Hz cycle is going to be subject to interference?
@brucemibus95235 жыл бұрын
Think that you have missed the logic of power cabling. Interference suppression is necessary when in a condo. Every other tenant is using switchmode power supplies and the mains hash is horrible. A standalone house has great benefit in electrical purity.

I hate to be negative, but when it got to positioning those feet under a power conditioner for better sound, all credibility was lost. Let's have a scientific explanation on how that works please. Also, I've heard of moving an antenna to get better reception, but elevating speaker cables always makes me face-palm. But I guess that's because I must be deaf. Can you say... "Placebo"? As a subscriber to your channel I'm pretty disappointed in you Craig. While I admire your pragmatic approach to audio, you don't appear to operating remotely in the same realm of gear that this fellow is. Obviously this man's system gives him a lot of joy, and its disappointing when others that are similarly passionate about audio attack others that are also passionate...ESPECIALLY when the attacking party doesn't have the requisite experience with the gear. If he's got the cash to play around with cable elevators, high end power and audio cables, and different forms of isolation, thats his business. If it makes a difference to him (placebo or not), that's none of your business, and shame on you for being so self important that you feel your opinion matters one bit. That said...I love your channel and you have amazing pragmatic content that was of great utility when I was starting out.

@@omgwtfpwnd I would go look at there instagram page. If they are so insulted why do they post pics of systems just like his. Once again if you think its snake oil go be it. Why is it only audiophile get this kind of treatment. Im not into art but I dont tell someone that what they think is nice I think sucks or go to a car show and start telling everyone that the money they spent on what ever was stupid. Only us audiophiles do and its all ways by someone who has never spent more then 500 on a system

That McIntosh UFO turntable though😳...I love your system and the sound that flows out from the speakers, your system has flow which is perfect for me . Everything will sound great on your system. I felt drawn in , the music reproduction was captivating, made me sit up and listen!!! System matching is perfect too, you've thought long and hard about what pleases your ears....Jolly good show homie!!!! All the best from Manchester UK....

Wow man , an amazing system. I love Mckintosh equipment. I live in Australia so McIntosh gear entry point is basically between $10,000 and $15,000 , then skyward. Beautiful turntable. Oh well , I'll just keep on buying those lottery tickets. Thanks mate .

Sweet system listening to this on my HD6xx, I see your a Sennheiser man as well. I really want a set of Martin Logan electrostas, I heard a pair of their 8in driver model at best buy on a freaking pioneer av recever and I was blown away, I can't imagine what they sound like with some real power behind them.

Amazing ! This is a real work of passion. It reminds me I have to clean the mess of cables behind my rack. I see that I'm not the only one putting more money on cables than speakers. The more I see other people systems the more I think it's bullshit to put 50% of your budget on speakers. Power, cables, tweaks matters too. Nice video !
@vpconcepts98384 жыл бұрын
yannick930 This is very true! I never would have know "just how amazing" these speakers could be if I wouldn't have put the foundation into my system first. They truly sing 👌🎼✨

@@vpconcepts9838 looks great! I'm going to add soon a Niagara 5000 to my system. I was hesitant but every tweak I did so far improved the quality. Your video is inspiring for me.

@@vpconcepts9838 on the other hand.. if you put in better speakers… wouldn’t it sound even better? Also what about room accoustics ? I guess your system is around 50k+ and only 5k speakers ? I always thought your system can only sound as good as the speakers will allow it too ? 🤷♂️ Am I wrong ?

What a beautiful system. Thank you for sharing. A bit of room treatment would likely really help all this gear shine. Also, Don't know if you have kids, but how do you keep them from touching all of this? Came home from work one day and my 4 year old had removed the grilles from my NHT 3 bookshelfs and punched pencils through the drivers.... Now we have horns.
@vpconcepts98385 жыл бұрын
Jeff Sloane 😂 No kids. The tree and bookshelves behind each speaker act as great diffusers. Also the room is longer than it is wide, and the walls are not parallel, so it works out great. Not bad for a condo 🤗. Thanks Jeff! 👍🎼✨

You have some lovely kit there bud. I have Dali Epicon speakers in a 5.1 channel configuration. I am considering moving over to Mac electronics to bring out the best in them ... or Electrocompaniet. When I can afford it I’ll go out and audition both and see which I like best .... regards from the U.K. 👍
