Bloody perfect to watch sir. WOW what a year you have had, some outstanding finds. Looking back on your vids a plain and not outstaning piece you found many years ago on the old 12th century manor was a CLAY PIPE BOWL...To my eyes with the motif early 18th century and the 1 i found very rare similar to yours and my old pal Roger Pentrath begged me to swap it for his old FORD fiesta 1.1 popular plus...lol..WE SWAPPED... DETOCTORISM is a art sir that you have perfected and a pleasure to watch your videos over the years. Respect and a happy new year... Ian and Connor Green......YBD

I remember seeing your short when you found your gold hammered and I could not imagine what it would feel like to unearth something that stunning and never would I imagine that ten months after starting detecting I’d experience that moment when I uncovered a Henry viii crown at the beginning of this month. @@OMA_MetalDetecting We came from Colorado, where I got gold fever and bought my first detector 😊 Just recently we moved to Florida where, the woods aren't quite the same as Devon (spider and snake jungle) but I've got some abandoned towns mapped out, ready to sweep in the New Year. Hope 24 hurls some awesome finds at ya!

Wish I took up the hobby when I was still living in England but still very happy to find my oldest coin this year in Ontario a 1754 George 2 nd farthing. Happy new year 🍻🇨🇦

May I ask, if you did find a gold coin, do you have to give the landowner money if you decide to keep it?

All depends on the agreement you have with the landowner to be honest. You will be surprised at how much gold can change people but honesty is always the best policy in this game buddy. Happy New Year 👍👍
