Yeah...every place with "Hall" in the name in the whole german speaking area (Germany,Austria, Switzerland) had something to do with salt which was also called "The white gold" and especially in the whole Alpine region (various old apine salt-mines which goes way back in time into the bronze-age..the oldest salt-place/mine in Europe is in the austrian village "Hallstatt" which means literally "Salt-place" which is also eponym for a whole prehistoric era of the bronze-age called by historians worldwide "Hallstatt-culture" or "Hallstatt-age" which goes back in time to round about 800 BC and ended at round about 450 BC while Schwäbisch Hall exists since 1190 which is nearly 2000years later.

@SFSwimmer4 жыл бұрын
I did a little digging as I just started watching Nalf videos a few months ago (I'm now have gone back to the beginning and watching forward, as well as watching new ones as they come out). Nalf's father is the Italian line (per his Italian heritage Grandfather near Seattle - actually, Redmond, where Microsoft is headquartered). Nalf's father got a football scholarship to OSU (Oregon State University) in Corvallis, separately Nalf's mother one year later went to OSU and was involved in Track and Field. It is fair to assume that they met at sometime while they were at OSU. Both parents with college educations, they had good job prospects (by the way, they went to school during the 1980's - meaning Nalf's mother might be in her 50's or nearing so). Nalf's parents live on the West side of Portland - this is the nicer (more upscale) side of Portland (near Nike in Beaverton). The house from the videos must have about five bedrooms, which is quite rare for homes in the USA - five bedrooms assumes the four youngest brothers doubled up. The fact that Nalf's mother had not been to Europe before she visited Nalf some time ago and that all the children attended catholic (private) school, tells me that they spent their income on their children to have the best education. It's gratifying as a bystander (watching) to see this deep investment in her children payoff: Andy from this video had multiple football scholarship offers from many schools around the west, including the US Air Force Academy - but he choose to be a Cal Bear (one of the best universities in the USA and a public school at that!) The brother that played football for Stanford got picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles and could earn a lot of money if he does well. His sister, being the oldest child to be followed by five boys is a hoot, good thing she came first. According to an earlier video, Nalf mentions that he works for the Pac-12 - when I went to the University of Washington in Seattle in the mid to late 1970's, it was the Pac-8: USC (Nalf's film school semester that he still owe's $30k on) it's rival across Los Angeles, UCLA (University of California at Los Angeles), Cal (Berkeley), Stanford, UO (University of Oregon, Eugene, DUCKS!), OSU (Oregon State University, Corvallis, BEAVERS [Beaver Fever!]), UW (University of Washington, Seattle, GO HUSKIES!), WSU (Washington State University, Cougars, or as we called them from the UW, Waaazoooo). In the 1980's USC threatened to pull out of the Pac-8 unless the two Arizona schools were added (USC has been a dominante football team for decades, but not so dominate anymore) so the Pac-8 became the Pac-10: UA (University of Arizona, Tuscon, Wildcats), ASU (Arizona State University, Scottsdale [suburb of Phoenix], Sun Devils). Later (I don't know the year) CU (Colorado University, Boulder, Buffalos) and UU (University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utes) were added. And now with so many schools (10 Public, 2 Private [Stanford and USC]) they have divided (at least football) into two divisions, North and South, and then have a playoff game to determine the championship of the league. auf Deutsch: Ich habe ein bisschen gegraben, als ich vor ein paar Monaten angefangen habe, Nalf-Videos anzuschauen (jetzt bin ich zum Anfang zurückgekehrt und schaue nach vorne und schaue mir neue an, wenn sie herauskommen).
