Funny video, but I would have suggested changing the style halfway through, like be the 'obnoxious' up to the middle, then be in a suit showing off crutches like they're museum pieces.

I only have one pair but they are perfect for me (thinking of upgrading to ones with built in shock absorbing tho) but mine are FDI opticomfort premium and they are great. Unsure about how much they are elsewhere but through a place that sold them for low profit they were 15€ each, highly recommend! I'm thinking of switching to the FDI Ergodynamic this summer if I like how they feel. When I first got mine that weren't bleh from the hospital ones meant for short term use it was amazing, they are so light weight and when they were brand new could balance on their own on a flat floor! They have new rubber ends on them now I don't like as much so I'll probably replace them since they are significantly heavier, uglier and not as easy to manuver around with but do the job since the old ones were completely worn down.

My husband is about to get his first pair and the fully articulating cuffs (up, down and swivel) seems to make the most sense. Do you know of any (maybe other than Fetterman) that does those? And did I read that you prefer side opening cuffs instead of front?

A lot of those crutches are way too expensive. I mean, you need to spend + $1000 for crutches with shock absorbers. Personally, a more practical (with shock absorbers) for under $200 US (minus shipping costs) is the FDI ErgoDynamic Crutch. They are harder to get a hold of here in the US but worth it. If you have to spend over a $1000 for a pair of crutches, it is not worth it because you are going to be dumping thousands into them over their lifetime. And the more parts involved, the more points of potential failure. The FDI has replaceable (silicone) grips (not rubber) that last way, way longer, and smaller crutch tips that last surprisingly long. I've never tried the Federman crutches but I've seen the hype videos and I think they are extremely overpriced.

Yo, that's righteously obnoxious my man. Sidestix aluminum crutches with the shock absorbers are the best value IMO. I've spent weeks walking in the Italian Dolomites and numerous hikes in the Sierras of California, they are bomber. Carbon fiber and titanium are way overrated. The weight difference is insignificant, save your money.
