All the job's needed on an E85 Z4 are relatively simple even for a d.i.y. mechanic. I also follow the BMW doctor & his information is great for tackling the known faults eg, water pump, thermostat, header tank

Great video Joel and it's great to see your dad's Z4 and that he is still enjoying it. Mine is going into the garage on Monday as I think the Crankcase Valve is blocked or needs to be changed but I have heard that the ccv system can play up on the Z4's.

The Z4 is the ultimate dad car. I’ve had my 06 Z4 M for almost a year as my daily driver and my rule is if it’s not raining in Seattle the top shall be down, keep a lap blanket in trunk for my wife. Life is more fun with an E85.

Get those headlights polished! Z4 lights are woeful at the best of times, but you will notice a huge difference! Oh and the wiper motor needs the grease cleaned from it, easy job, guide on the Z4 Forum!

From South Africa....saved for years..finally had enough to buy my dream car, the almighty Z4M...Same day hour later ...breakdown bearing knock,returned it to dealer and now in a Legal battle to get it repaired...So so unbelievable...Didnt expect paying so much in cash and then experience this...Damn

2,5? I have the 2,0 2006 model... Got it for 6000€ with 150k km on it. It was such a bargain I had to buy it, I wouldn't use the extra power anyway on normal roads, only when sliding in the winter or something.

i also got a BMW Z4 2.5 few month ago and love it but what i noticed the most (comming from a mazda RX8) is the suspension ... i find them oh my god i dunno maybe something is wrong with mine cause they are SO ROUGH like ... if i ain't driving on a perfect road it is actually just painfull to feel the bumps etc like i'm hurting the car even at low ass speed ... like .. rly .... how about yours guys ?

Amazed nothing mechanical aside from maintenance. I don’t think you mentioned how many miles are on the vehicle now. That would be good to share. How is the plastic parts holding up? They tend be brittle and crack as these cars age.
