Perfecting a homemade cheese cracker recipe was not the original goal for today, but as most of the fun activities I try to enjoy ‘casually,’ I ended up taking it much further than I had anticipated…or really wanted, to be honest.
I decided to challenge myself by testing three different recipes: one generated by AI, one found on a food blog, and one that I created myself after a bit of trial and error.
Join me as I experiment with these recipes, share my thoughts, and discover which one comes out on top! This isn't a typical instructional recipe video so I apologize in advance to anyone that's actually proficient in the art of homemade ANYTHING - this was definitely more about the journey and the fun of experimenting. 💀😂

Hey elyse❤️ I’m 15 years old and have always had alot of anxiety. But last fall my life fell apart, i didn’t wanna wale up in the morning and i never ate enough food. This year i’m getting better and better as the weeks go by but i still have some bad days.. Which is ok! But i never tell myself that, and even if I feel proud of myself really deep down my brain doesn’t believe it because I tell myself that it’s not enough. ANYWAY that’s not important but all i wanted to say is that for the past few months I’ve watched your videos to the point where i know exactly what you’re saying🤭 But just know that i love you so so much and i started crying when I saw you posted❤️ I can’t describe how much you’ve helped me through hard times❤️

I wish so deeply that I could open up my brain and show you who I was at 15 and everything I struggled with. I would wake up and be sick to my stomach and think it was just normal to be sick with nausea in the morning until I realized all of my friends were completely fine and didn’t want to throw up the moment the woke up on the mornings. I’ve always felt like I’m in a battle against my own mind and I’ve been lucky enough to have just enough extra mental energy to surround myself with the right people to help me win those fights against myself. I am so proud of you, and I believe in you. Take everything one single day at a time. I’m 30 and I look back on my 15 year old self with so much compassion and love because she got me to 30. I can’t believe it sometimes but I made it all the way to 30 and I’m going to keep going. You’re doing great. You aren’t alone. You’ve got this! ♥️❤️‍🩹

Love watching your videos and always look forward to the next one! Here’s a tip from a fellow cheez-it maker : roll the dough out in a pasta maker! Makes the crackers super thin and it’s not as much work as a rolling pin! Fresh grated cheese also works better because it doesn’t have the starch they add to keep the cheese from sticking together ☺️

Aprons. Back in the day "hot pads" didn't exist. For that matter, the "tea towel" is a relatively new kitchen innovation. "Towels" were generally old, worn, sheets or blankets, sometimes curtains or old clothing, that were past their use. (If they couldnt be otherwise repurposed as the inside of another blanket or such). So they used their aprons. Aprons also worked to keep clothing clean. As you likely only had two or three sets (if you were lucky). Modern use, i use an apron when im canning. Its not tight like that one was. Its loose and flowy, so i can use it to grab things and to wipe my hands. It also protects my legs from harm, as im generally in shorts. Ooh, also good for carrying stuff. If i dont have a basket handy, i use it for gathering garden goods.

Watching your videos creates a kaleidoscope of emotions like the spinning Mac "things are slowly loading or possibly crashing" wheel but in a "much much better very good" way. Thank you for you.

My hubby and I love watching your videos to decompress at the end of the day. I know you didn't ask for advice, but I just can't stand the thought of you suffering, so I'm here to recommend wearing an N95 in public - it'll both stop you getting sick all of the time but it helps tremendously with pollen! My husband used to have to stay inside, and I had to do the yard work on my own until he started wearing a mask outside, and it helped 100%! We used to care how we looked to others but got over that pretty quickly lol our health is more important than what others think lol

I would just like to let you know that I put this on while painting my nails and that turned into being motivated enough to bake some cookies at 2am and completely ignoring the dumpster fire that is my bedroom. Do with that information what you will. Love your vids!

Haha!! The pollen part.. totally get you. In my region we have Dog Weed trees. They drop cloud clumps and it looks like it's snowing. I call it Spring Snow.

So the stuff you see floating in the sky is actually the seeds released from certain trees (you still can’t see the pollen. I used to think that too until I caught one and noticed what it really was and realized that makes a lot of sense. 😅 But the seeds and the pollen do get released at the same time which also makes sense

Seasoned low carb cracker maker here. 3/4 cup almond flour and 1 c shredded cheese, mix together and microwave for 1 minute, stir and if not completely melted go 30 more seconds. Spread dough on parchment paper score into crackers and bake at 400 degrees start to watch them at 10 minutes and remove when they begin to get some browning . You might need to remove edge pieces and continue to cook the middle. This dough can also be cooked in the microwave. Crackers stored in refrigerator/ freezer and can be warmed/ crisped up in microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute. If you are an everything bagel fan sprinkle on dough and press in before scoring.
