“The Arsenal Way” was a phrase I heard a lot growing up as an Arsenal fan. It meant class, style and empathy. It wasn’t an on the pitch thing so much but manifested in lots of small ways. Such as boardroom flowers coloured to match the opposition or Anfield 89 when every player carried a bouquet and took them to different corners of the ground. The gesture, until stopped by the PL of the team going into the centre circle and applauding all 4 sides of the ground home AND away. Or even just the captain picking the sleeve length to ensure uniformity. If Arsenal did it, it was the right thing. That does make Arsenal (or did) special and a bit different. And if you want to compare class, Arsene or Jose???

This is my favorite channel on Arsenal, which I expect every post like the next Game of Thrones series.

This is why I love Arsenal so much. We have always been classy. We are not afraid to do right by our players, even if it might not be the best decision economically. But I also love that now we are not afraid to do whatever to get rid of bad influences. Besides playing good football and being good persons is more important for me than winning every season. It just makes it so much better that we are now so good without breaking FFP rules or anything. I should say I started watching when Wenger took over, so obviously my thoughts are heavily influenced by the greatest manager ever. 😉

I loved Ox until that last game he played for us against Liverpool and they destroyed us. Wenger played Ox (although it was very clear that he was to be sold to Liverpool that week), having full faith on him to be a professional and do his job as the right winger… Boy, how wrong Wenger was?! I’ve never seen a professional football player looking as disinterested (borderline helping Liverpool) as Ox on that game! But at the time no Arsenal fan picked up on it and blamed Wenger for playing Ox in the first place. That’s my grudge out of the way! 🤣🤣🤣
