Star Citizen is the highest-funded crowdfunded video game and one of the highest-funded crowdfunding projects overall, having raised over US$500 million as of September 2022.
In this video we take off from Port Olisar, wearing some fancy armor /armour from our last bunker mission. Armed with a p4 rifle and some spare magazines. We quantum drive out in our 315p ship on our first ever bounty hunter mission to neutralise a VLRT or very low risk target to gain out Tracker Training Permit Certification. We head to Hurston for this one to track down and apprehend Jake Newhart. This mission pays 500 AUEC.
A battle ensues in the atmosphere and the fugitive is forced to the ground, we try to capture him on foot but no success. He eventually gets his ship working again and takes off, the battle continues. i think he is escorted by a Cutlass Black, we ignore him and eventually the suspect crashed with an explosion into the surface. We gain out certification and the mission is a success. However, shortly after while looking at the missions we crash and destroy our 315p which was unable to fly in a straight line due to damage. We wake up in hospital at Crusader as a new clone.
As always we see some amazing views!

Think of it more like flying a drone than a plane. You can hover and strafe and turn. If you're going forwards quickly in atmo then youll be planelike but if your target is slow you can just slow too and orbit him like a helicopter or something.

That makes a lot of sense, thank you! I should have just hovered over him I guess but I didn't know for sure if he had a buddy. Thank you for your comment and sorry it took so long to reply. I had covid after this and got out of the habit of recording and editing. I'll make more SC vids soon!

@@PorthosUK no worries. Hovering stationary will get you shot down too though. Just slow it down a lot and you can get some lateral motion back and forth, left and right a little bit and that's enough for the NPC to miss most shots.

Haha this was fun to watch. A quick breakdown of your fight; first, it looks like your ship is equipped with distortion repeaters. They strip ships sheilds easily but don't deal lethal damage. Instead they can disable a ship, shut it down for 5min. Jake only survived because he was already so close to the ground when you shut his engines off, otherwise the impact would have killed him (like it did later in the video). If you keep your current ship weapons loadout, you are correct that you will want to keep your missles in reserve to finish your target off if they don't crash and die. That said when you were on the ground you could have boarded Jake's ship and killed him. The back ramp can be opened with bullets or by melee attack (middle mouse button). Lastly I don't know if your ships guns are gimbled or not. If they are, you can press g and they will auto aim at the target ship if you get it in the dotted circle. Gimbaled ship weapons can often be replaced by guns one size bigger at the expense of the gimbal and auto aim feature. If you are thinking of changing your loadout, I would recommend keeping one distortion repeater and changing the other out for a laser repeater. Or both lasers, or keep the distortions and let gravity or missles handle the final kill. You can also expirament with ship upgrades at the website erkul.games

I had no idea my lil ship for some reason had distortion repeaters. That would explain why the other ship just fell out the sky a couple of times! :D Thank you for that relevant detail! :D His ship had a back ramp?? I didn't see it! I did try shooting at his cockpit quite a lot but it had no effect. I'll remember to check if pressing G helps at all next time with regards to gimble. ty, I didn't know that either. :)

"made me feel like i was in a movie"!! That is what I was hoping for but I didn't think I'd come near to achieving it. I still don't think it was THAT well done, I shall improve as time goes on. :) I only own one ship atm, the 315p. I like it because it's stylish and comfy. It's like "van life" because it has room to get up and walk a bit and a bed inside. The bed means that you can sleep and log off and be in the same place when you log back on. if you don't use a bed, you wake up back at your home station when you log on. I've tried the Cutlass Black when I found one in game. It's more industrial, has a bunk bed and a turret that a 2nd crew member could get inside. The Blade might be my fave fighter. It's made by aliens but converted for humans. The windows look like insect or snake eyes, and you have to lay on your front in the cockpit to fly it. Kind of like riding a racing motorbike. If you do decide to join me in the Star Citizen universe, you might want to use my referral code when you make an account. @@PorthosUK I love the blade too! it looks so cool when you get to go into your hyper drive idk but it looks really cool in first person cant wait to see your reaction when you get it!

I don't think there is anywhere to buy it at the moment. Not all ships are for sale atm. Maybe they will have a free fly day at some point.@@NicoC420
