Thank you for watching my very first V4 session two hours after they soft launched! Really sorry my mic didn't come with me today.. When I mention 140kW peak that should've been 160kW as you can see in the video but yeah I arrived with over 30% SoC (100km/h is the legal limit in NL :-))

Great video. Thanks for uploading it. Hopefully it goes viral for you being the first to upload it. As far as the positioning of the stall, I do agree that it should be more towards the center. However, since the cable starts from the left (unlike other past supercharger stalls) the cable is actually in the center. So hopefully it will accommodate most, if not all, none Tesla vehicles. Hopefully they can also place a couple of strong bollards in front of them because I can already see an idiot on a none-Tesla (or even a Tesla) running into, or at minimum, hitting the stall.
@waynelewis9110

I think Tesla was hesitant to put them in the center here in order to mitigate accidents with backing directly into the stalls. But notably, the V4 stalls aren’t as much to the right as V3 stalls have been. It’s definitely closer to the center than the usual V3 installs.

Sorry for my ignorance, I'm not an EV owner yet. Does max speed depend on how much the car can take or how much the charger can provide? I mean v3 can supposedly reach 250kw and v4 is faster. So will the model 3 be able to potentially charge faster than 250kw?
@electricfelix
@electricfelix Жыл бұрын
Tesla designed V3 (and right now V4 uses the same power cabinets) to be at a maximum compatibility with their Model 3/Y/S/X fleet: 250kW is still the max any Tesla can do (they add a couple kW for cooling purposes etc). Also they boost the amperage way above "CCS standards" but since the 250kW never lasts very long this doesn't matter (otherwise temp could become too high for cabling). Long story short, I don't expect Model 3's to become faster at charging without a change in battery packs and so on. Of course future Model upgrades and future V4 installations could alter the status quo. Hope this answers your question!
