I get told the same thing with me being nearly 40 and am still in a size where I can shop in the kid's clothing section, because they fit and are cheaper, and being 5'8" on top of it. I've been genuinely active since I was a kid. From sports, skateboarding, rollerblading and rising my bicycle with the family to the park. As a teen I was working on farm, horseback riding, walking 4 miles total daily to and from my friend's house and working as a clean up crew on a construction site. Older now and still have an active job where I'm walking on average 5 miles a day then still hit the treadmill for a casual 30 minute walk on full incline 'after' work. My days off I'm still walking, doing various Tabata workouts and Zumba and lifting weights. I get the envy comments, but I wasn't born this way. Just stayed active.

@@Adiadi-uj3ud Hence why I stated "genuinely active". The concept boils down to people saying you're so lucky to have such good genes. Not exactly. If genes was 100% that fact, then we all would stay fit and in shape without the work. Staying active continuously is your base key. Everything else comes with pushing passed your boundaries. Going hardcore also doesn't mean how much you can run per day or lift. Going hardcore is how many years you can keep doing it. Juji is hardcore simply for the fact he's been doing this straight for 20 years.

I had small calves my whole life, and finally got big calves from two things, a bodybuilding.com youtube video that I cant find anymore, and mountain biking. The gist of the video was that whenever doing calf raises, focus on hypertrophy and do 8-12 reps each of toes in, toes out, and toes straight. Making sure to stretch your calves constantly before, after, and during each set.

Even as a powerlifter who couldn't care less about muscle mass, this is still incredibly important and usefull. These build size and give a lot of stability. Hit a ceiling with squats until I found out my calves just couldn't bare the weight. Calf raises helped ALOT.

I have pretty good calf genetics, but got them especially chiseled by playing tennis competitively (which had the downside of making my right arm noticeably bigger than my left even years after I stopped competing, especially in the forearm). And also mountain biking like you, that's a really good one.

@@mirkomarjanovic3234 this. I started working on my calves (posterior and anterior) and my squat blew up. Your anterior tibialis is responsible for keep your knees straight and in line. Having them weak is why a lot of peoples knees cave in/out during the squat. Like forearms with deadlifts and rows.

My chest(it was a weakpoint) started growing when I focused on the mind muscle connection. When I was doing bench press I used to feel it more in my shoulders despite having a good form. Then I've set a goal to improve my connection with the muscle on the bench press and the more I was feeling it, the better I got with connecting with my chest and it started growing. So yeah my tip is to focus on mind muscle connection.
