IMO I personally dislike a lot of the mind electric but I love the last like minute and a half of the song The last minute and a half combines like most of my favorite things in songs Motiefs, very theatre esc, very queen sounding, got that Disney bouncyness to it if you know what I mean Etc.

I don't think Variation is that disrespectful as a song but the video is very distasteful imo. Especially when they quickly zoom in on ppl crying or reverse the footage of the attack. The puppets also feel kinda weird. Even if Joe didn't have any ill intent while making it I feel like he must've seen the issues with it before releasing it.

I actually believe the music video is supposed to be physically repulsive to watch. It was intended as a way to show younger generations what was happening in the minds of anyone who witnessed the attacks and not just the stories we hear of what physically happened. When it zooms in or plays footage in reverse, it’s supposed to show rapid changes in thought and focus. The puppets are likely used as a way to show that it didn’t feel real, and mixing them into the footage was likely so you feel what it would be like to see someone you know there. It’s distasteful and repulsive, but honestly could be seen as more honorable than downplaying it to prevent children from realizing how horrible it was.

umm actually the labyrinth music video looks like that because it was promotional material for a game which uses the art style but apparently sucks because the hitboxes are comically inaccurate

Eu pensava que Variations on a Cloud era meio que "propositalmente" desrepeitoso... sabe? Eu vi em algum lugar uma vez que a música tenta passar a "visão" de dois líderes políticos (os dois fantoches) e como eles não se importam com as pessoas nem com o que aconteceu... Eu acho que é essa sensação horrível de ignorância que o Joe tentou passar... É o que eu penso... Mas sim, soa desrespeitoso.
