Anjelah Johnson-Reyes was born and raised in San Jose, California where she grew up with four siblings in a large extended family to which she remains close. Anjelah found herself an internet sensation and pioneer in viral KZfaq videos when her notorious “Nail Salon” bit from a local comedy show was posted and received over 100 million views! Shortly thereafter she was added to the cast on the original MADtv where she trademarked her legendary character, Bon Qui Qui. Similar to the nail salon video, the Bon Qui Qui sketch caught on and have been viewed by over 75 million people. The multi-hyphenate’s popularity has translated into four successful comedy specials: That’s How We Do It” (Comedy Central), The Homecoming Show (NUVO TV), Not Fancy (Netflix) and Mahalo & Good Night (Epix). She has displayed her acting prowess both on TV and film. I bought a corner shelf at an auction for 35 bucks many years ago and my husband saw it and said, “I could’ve made you one for half that much”. I said go ahead and I’ll put it in the other corner…. That was 45 yrs ago and I still only have the one corner shelf, lol!! 💖

My husband is Puerto Rican too. I showed him a picnic table for the back yard for $120. He said, “Naw, I can make that!” That was 6 years ago! Ask me if I have a picnic table yet!

Same! I priced out the making versus buying of our cute picnic table. The one I made is better, better wood and costed 10 dollars less. The ones at the store were janky unfinished wood, that was left outside the store all season. TBF to Anjelah's husband, I go to a workshop club that charges a membership fee to use their big power tools and receives deliveries for cheaper than residential. Did all the heavy machinery there, and assembled at home.

I built my house. Built 2 barns. Garage. Mutiple outbuildings. Rebuilt my first engine when I was 10. But here is my point...ANY Man can can do that. Given a small amount of time and a few tools a Man can do anything. We work 16 hours a day in a mine if we have to. And we don't whine about it.

I wanted a napkin holder and my husband said that he could build that instead of buying it. The hand tools weren’t good enough so after hundreds of dollars including purchasing a table saw, I got my pine wood napkin holder. My MIL, his mom, found it hilarious, me, not so much.

The cost of getting the tools and the wood and other woodworking related items would be about $500 but in the end be more when you had to buy more wood and supplies to fix the first "table" he built that you threw out.
