Twilight Twinkle was her original/prototype name. It's pretty cool that they bring it up again in this episode

One cool thing is that they took that first scene from the very first episode and turned it into that whole Amending Fences thing. Moondancer even quotes some lines Twilight made form Episode 1, about 'Crazy ponies trying to make friends' and 'Ridiculous friend-making getting in the way of studies'. Also, Minuette is like a toned down Pinkie Pie, very fun.

Amending Fences is one of my all time favorite episodes of the series, it just relates to me so much on a personal level. Moondancer is basically me, I just love her character and felt so bad for her in the episode.

Yes, two of my top favorite episodes of the season! I really like Minuette(she’s cute and bubbly like Pinkie) and Moondancer(she’s one of my favorite side characters in the series). The other episode is amazing for its background on Luna’s nighttime job and seeing the dreams of other ponies, with some great callbacks to previous episodes and other surprises.

The first time I watched Amending Fences, I was on the same page as Smurf. I didn't trust Twilight's old friends, with how enthusiastic they were. I felt like they were overselling because Twilight is now a princess. Of course I was wrong, but I still felt suspicious of them. So, you weren't the only one Smurf!

Amending Fences is one of my favorite mlp episodes because things like this do happen. Such a good lesson. I just love how just a couple through away lines from S1 Ep1 could bring such an emotional story five seasons later. Also Twilight (bookhorse) and Moondancer (Second best bookhorse) are the best ponies.

Also Moondancer = Waifu status and I don't even do the waifu thing. I feel for her on a personal level too!! Its also good writing when we see episodes fleshing out these characters. It makes the universe of this show more real when you see the characters in the background actually have lives and personalities.

@9:06- That was the one of the first scenes in the series fyi. Who would have thought something like that would have such big consequences lol. I actually do remember Twi being that way. This episode did a good job of explaining a few things. Minuette, Lemon Drops, and Twinkle Shin were background ponies that popped up in Ponyville at times. Minuette in particular, before this episode aired was called Colgate by the fandom because her mane style reminded people of toothpaste lol. 13th episode, there was another fan reference there. Fandom created a Princess Big Mac meme awhile back and when this episode aired, everyone freaked out about it lol.

Amending Fences, still my all time favorite episode.

@SmurfVlogs™: Episode 12 was a direct call-back to episode 1 of season 1. Even the flashback scene was from this episode. So, yes, Twilight was a (sort of) "bad friend" back there. Oh, and maybe you should look at the scene at 12:56 as AniRichie already wrote. You might remember the pony in the upper-left corner holding the menu. Maybe you might find her hidden in other episodes of season 5 too? ;)

"Amending Fences" is a huge fan-favourite. There's a reasonably popular Twitter user who runs a poll on every MLP episode every year, and so far I believe "Amending Fences" was voted best episode two times. And "Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep" is a pretty big episode, considering it finally closes the story-arc of Princess Luna turning into Nightmare Moon and back. I'm not a super-huge fan of the episode, or of Luna herself, but her storyline in this series when you look at the whole picture is pretty amazing. Also, I'm not sure where you're getting these episodes from, but have you tried downloading them from YayPonies? The volume should definitely not be an issue if you get the episodes from there. At least, never was for me or anyone I know.

Lyra Heartstrings who isn't in this episode (maybe as a background pony but I'm not sure), Minuet (aka Colgate, as named by the fandom), Lemon Hearts have shown up as background ponies a lot. Moondancer is new and introduced in this episode. She was mentioned in episode one but never shown, even as a background pony. I love Minuet! I love all of them. they are all unicorns which makes sense because they were in Celestia's school for Gifted Unicorns. Meaning a magic school. I wanna point out that when Twilight and Moondancer are in Twilight's old living space, and Moondancer points out a first edition copy of Principles of Magic that she gave to Twilight and says,"I can see by the fact that you left it here that it meant a lot to you." I say it's a good thing she left it there. Otherwise it would've been destroyed in the Golden Oak Library along with most of Twilight's other books. (Although apparently not the Griffon book Twilight has because apparently she got that book after season 1 episode 5 "Griffon the Brush-off.") Which it's just one book she said she's had since then so I can forgive one book surviving the library explosion. And even say that maybe her new library had a copy of it. I love that they brought this story-line in for one episode and resolving it. It's so good.

Episode 12 in this season is one of the best episodes that mlp has ever made with moondancer and is still one of my personal favorite episodes that centers around twilight! Hoping that you will react to episode 14 & 15 if possible! :D

Am I the only one who got the impression at first that Minuette was just being cheery and chummy because Twilight was a princess? I mean, that's the impression I got with how pretty much the first thing she had anything to say about was her being a princess and telling your coworkers. I'm glad that wasn't the case, but it was an interesting mis-impression on my part.

Somehow, being that friendly and forgiving towards Twilight ist just fair of Minuette, Lemonheart and Twinkleshine. I mean, what did *they* themselves do to keep up their friendship with Twilight? They had several opportunities, were in Ponyville several times, as Minuette herself states, were in contact with Pinkie, who easily could have arranged a meeting, if need be. And it's not because they thought she'd prefer to be left alone to her studies. They tried to stay in touch with Moondancer, who was of a very similar nature like Twilight, as far as the three knew. What reasons did they have not to show the same effort with Twilight? So, I'm stating that the fading of that friendship is not Twilight's sole fault.

Smurf, if you can't picture a Twilight not interested in any friends (besides Spike), watch Season 1 Episode 1 again. You'll get it. As for Nightmare Moon... Dude, don't root for her to come back just because you think she was a cool villain. I mean she was, but... There is no Nightmare Moon without Luna. Wanting her back also means having Luna to suffer and to turn towards hatred & jealousy again, because one doesn't go without the other. All her regret and develpment episodes would literally turn pointless, too. So as cool as Nightmare Moon was as a villain, I suggest to keep her in your heart but to let her go as a wish to return.

Minuette is impossibly nice. Not that I'm complaining.
