Love the honesty about this routine. So many influencers act like they fall asleep at the exact time and never look at their phone etc. Consistently good rather than occasionally great!

I think Dr. Huberman elaborated on the adenosine/caffeine interaction in a later episode of his podcast and claimed that If you exercise early in the morning then early morning caffeine will not produce the same "crash" as it will for those who do not train early AM.

Thank you so much Nick for making this video. I honestly have a morning routine myself that also includes Running and it has changed my life for the last five years. I find it hard to find hard to meet people that have the same routine that also includes Running weight, lifting and clean eating. That’s why I have term to social media to look up to people like you, Nick, who I can relate to to meet you one day.

I also keep the habit of setting many alarms even though I now wake up on the first alarm without any snooze, or mostly even before 😅 Consistency in time getting up definitely is fantastic 😊

I agree. I filmed a sample of my morning routine and its good to have a routine because it makes your morning efficient. You don't have to have a long morning routine. In fact just doing the same 15-20 minute routine is all you need.

I do the delayed caffeine intake. First 7 days was very difficult but now 2 hours will pass in the morning and I don't even realize I haven't had caffeine. Energy is more consistent throughout the day.

hey, quick question nick. Are the "If it matters to you, you will make time" shirts coming back anytime or are they gone for good? I was late ordering one, since I waited for you guys to come to Europe. Anyways great video, you inspire me!

Thank you Nick for the perspective on consistent morning routine helps others especially our family to have a good expectation about our daily plans. A quick question, when you mentioned waking up at 5am everyday, does it include every Saturday and Sunday? What if there’s a late night, do you still push thru the next morning or sleep in a bit?

As a dad of two boys under two years old, I have struggled to get back into a routine the last year and a half. I think I am going to just start setting that alarm and getting up and be intentional about things I do. Great information sharing here. Thanks!

Hi Nick, great episode and also wanted to say I enjoy your videos! I have a few questions re: your morning routine: - coffee, do you have just 1 cup (8 oz) before run?, and/or do you have more coffee with breakfast following run? - do you eat anything before you go for run?, particularly at that early time? - do you run everyday?, I know you’re a big fan of running but do you find doing it daily puts any strain on joints etc. - do you add any variation to your cardio in the morning Thank you!

I agree with your stance on the 90 min. A productive morning fueled by caffeine and having a little bit of tiredness at 2pm is a much better tradeoff than me being a zombie all morning. I have tried delaying 90 min and you definitely do feel more energy but the tradeoff just isn't worth it. Huberman also says its fine to have coffee first thing in the am just be aware of the dip in energy levels.

My husband and I have a pretty good routine going now that our two kids are on a good routine also but man are we both exhausted. He is out of the house by 5:45 for PT and we are lucky to go to bed by 10. We’re not even 30 and we feel so exhausted and tired. Maybe it’s because we have two toddlers, but my energy levels are struggling and so are his.

Great content aside, please start using “based on” instead of “based off off” - the latter is just so wrong… Also, episode in, episode out, we hear about your great (seriously, no doubt) decade as the founder of BPN, the army and the fitness journey. At this point, however, it is almost boring to listen to this. I get it, you need to mention it for new viewers/listeners every now and then, but I think I know all those lines by heart now. Some more focus on the now and the future would be nice!
